Greetings Everyone and welcome to the Chronicles of Eternity Meet the Cast Thread!
Here I will introduce all the characters you all have met inside the chronicles games along with all your current knowledge about them. This way anyone who joins in later is not confused when a name arises or an old face appears. I will update this thread with additional characters as you meet them, or as you learn more about them during future seasons
I will also mention where you all have run into the characters in seasons as well as important tidbits that certain players may have managed to wrangle out about them.
Chronicles of Eternity Cast
Aeturnus
The mastermind of Blood Shift, the first season of the Chronicles of Eternity. Aeturnus earned his fame through the discovery of Aeturnums(which he named after himself due to their connection with time and eternity) that solved the world's energy problems. According to information found in Blood Shift he was dedicated to protecting the world from the end that would occur if they ran out of energy, which motivated him in his research of the Aeturnums. However, the events of blood shift occur many centuries past when the Aeturnums were discovered. His discovery of the Aeturnums accidentally linked him with their source, making him almost like a floodgate for Aeturnums. This ended up making him Eternal, freezing him in his current state in time. He started a business spreading the Aeturnum energy source and donned a huge black cloak to hide the fact that he did not age. He even encouraged rumors as time went on that the real Aeturnus had long since perished and merely passed down the cloak to the one he chose to carry on his research. All lies, Aeturnus is still alive to our point in the story. As of Blood Shift he was 812 years old.
He built Time's Tower, a facility to run his Aeturnum business and continue researching energy and would later serve as the stage for Blood Shift. Aeturnus found that the Aeturnums were indeed a truly bottomless energy source and realized if they were not controlled they could flood in and destroy the world. Aeturnus himself is a barrier against that, as the sole connector between the world and the Aeturnums. He realized that his body alone would not serve to hold forever, so he set out to create another person who linked Aeturnums and the world. This was Blood Shift.
None of the players have seen Aeturnus since the events in Time's Tower. They were involved with his plans during Zircon Zephyros, as he was the one who placed the billion dollar reward for figuring out the situation. His motivations for that involvement are still unknown. His title during Blood Shift was SHSL Valor.
Alice/Amaranth: The Eternity Clockwork
Blood Weapons are tools used to manipulate Aeturnums, and an Eternity weapon is the penultimate form of a Blood Weapon. Alice was constructed with Aeturnus's Eternity weapon as her core. A heart of pure clockwork forged as a blood weapon. Aeturnus refers to her as Amaranth, but the players in Blood Shift knew her as Alice. She was the Traitor in Blood Shift working for Aeturnus. Very little besides what Alice is has been discovered by the players. Her personality is also still somewhat of a mystery due to their reclusive nature in Blood Shift. In combat she wields the Hand of Seconds, the closest of all Aeturnus's gear to eternity. It is a thin needle like hand of a clock, capable of piercing and destroying blood weapons. She appeared in the Zircon Pregame as one of the NPCs that had to be spoken to in order to achieve the pregame goal. Her orders in Zircon were to sneak into position in order to capture Vindr Stein should he fully coalesce. She performed her job successfully and returned. Little known fact, Alice serves as Aeturnus's secretary during regular business hours. Perhaps if the players had paid more attention they may have noticed something very....off about the Eternity Clockwork during Zircon Zephyros.
Ragna the Bloodedge
Ragna is an employee of Aeturnus, working for him in Time's Tower. He was the only regular employee not sent on the business vacation to Disney World as Aeturnus roped him into helping with Blood Shift. Ragna served as the overseer for Blood Shift before Aeturnus revealed himself and always refers to Aeturnus as "Big Boss." He is a strong wielder of blood weapons, probably only out matched by those with Eternity weapons. Blood Shift ended with Ragna mostly pissed off about having to work and not getting to go to Disney World.
Ragna made his return in the Zircon Zephyros pregame, as the bus driver during the pregame. Still unhappy as always to be forced to work, but he did it grudgingly. However, right before the bus was going to leave and head towards the Zircon main location, Ragna was assaulted by Pebble and KOed with one punch from behind. Pebble stole Ragna's bus driver gear and took his place on the bus. Ragna awoke with a raging headache and an extreme rage for what had just happened. None of the players have seen him since.
Vindr Stein
The Mastermind of Zircon Zephyros, a man made up of gold dust and wind. His journal in Zircon leads us to believe he left home in a rage due to disagreements between himself and his family. Chasing after the ghost of his ancestor and the ancient calling of his family, the emotion of obsession, he met Aeturnus. With Aeturnus's assistance he continued tracking down his ancestor's legacy. We are still not sure what he found, just that he found something that mentally destroyed him. He returned from his adventure with a gold and emerald rifle that he uses as his signature weapon. Lost in his own rage at his discovery he planned out the events of Zircon for the goal of obtaining corpses. Why exactly is still unknown. He lured people into a wall of wind he created using his rifle and his now transformed by body of gold dust to transform wooden items in ones of solid gold. Mercenaries swarmed the area and died to each other or Vindr in droves. The players solved the mystery of the area and confronted Vindr. As he was forced to consider his actions and argue with the intruders, Aeturnus's trap was sprung and Alice captured Vindr. Perhaps things would be different now if those with Vindr had noticed the danger and warned him before it struck.
Noel Vermillion and Drei
Two characters working for the government. Their roles in events were minor, but they mainly assisted the group during the pregame and end of Zircon Zephyros.
Pebble
Pebble was first met during the Zircon pregame as a random "civilian" who refused to move out of the pregame training area when the players arrived. The government employees were unable to convince the strange man to leave and couldn't find anyone by the name "Pebble" in their databases, so its likely that isn't his real name. He told everyone who spoke with him was that he was there to "watch the show" but was slightly worried he didn't have a good enough seat. At the end of the pregame he snuck up on and assaulted Ragna, the bus driver, in order to get his gear and take his place. Pebble proceeded to get in the bus and drive the players to the game. They spoke with him on several occasions after realizing that Ragna was missing. His connection with events is unknown if any, but it was revealed that he had already entered and left the wind wall at some point, even going so far as to evade the entire government blockade in the process.
Redemption
Redemption is what a certain individual inside the Wind wall of Zircon Zephyros called themselves. No one knows much of anything about this mysterious figure. Simply that all could tell he was ridiculously powerful. With the single tick of a clock he has vanished from their sight, but he has also vanished without the tick of a clock. All we know is the question he left with those he met, "Will you Redeem?"
Zwolf the Bear
A rather strange bear that was found snoozing inside the wind wall. The bear seemed not to care for much about the players actions, but was definitely not normal. I mean, a gun that was the equivalent of a shoulder mounted cannon just resulted in a bullet bouncing off this bear. Zwolf responded to this by itching the spot he was shot, then promptly ignoring the shooter in favor of looking for fish in a nearby pond. Zwolf followed some players outside the wall, but later left them after finding he wanted to eat something besides the fish they kept catching for him. Nobody knows where he is now. It is rumored someone lured him into the office of Time's Tower at one point, but nobody is really sure.
