The sudden change of focus combined with the sense of need to move away from their current location led to our protagonist slipping into an alley way before scaling the walls of the nearby buildings and traveling across them towards where they had spotted the purple spark. With flowing movements and large leaps impossible for a regular human our protagonist eventually reached the church's bell tower. Atop its heights our protagonist looks around for what caused the strange flicker of emotion within them, but had no such luck. Instead they were drawn in by the bell of the tower. Its design was intricate and was many times finer than anything else in this entire town. Its golden color was stained with small marks of a more white gold giving the bell the appearance of a golden starry sky. The question is where to go from here? Time to Decide....

(Whoops... undefined gender...)
She woke within a dark room, her "master" glaring at her for dozing off. He pointed the cane at the cowering girl, threatening to strike again. "Quit ya dreamin. Tha wurld is naht fur ya. Nah wake. Thurs customurs tah see ya sung." He yanked on the gilded chain locked around her arm and half dragged her out of the cage. The runes hidden among the decoration glowed dimly and pulled energy from the master's light. He scowled and tossed the chain back at her to take hold of a ring further away. Two others watched silently from their own cage, twins that had been her only companions within this maddening darkness. They stared until the master's light floated from the room. Weary sighs left their lips as they silently wished her luck.
The protagonist slipped down the tower and into the church. It was strange contrast compared to the festivities outside. He/she/it could not sense anyone around and the walls seemed to absorb any sound. Undefined gender continued down the hallway and noticed subtle vibrations which periodically rushed through the building. It seemed to get slightly stronger as undefined gender neared the center of the church. How undefined gender knew the layout... Undefined gender wasn't sure. Und gender found the altar room and knew that there was something here... However, und gen couldn't remember what. He touched the altar and the floor crumbled away under his feet.

The protagonist swiftly leaps back and onto more solid ground as a few loose tiles that make up the floor fall into a pit of darkness. The church appears to be quite dusty inside and the main area doesn't appear to be used on any kind of regular basis. The now open hole by the altar leads down into darkness, but our protagonist is unable to gauge the drop nor see any kind of way to make the way down slowly. The question is what to do now. Time to Decide...
OOC: Notice (Always refer to the protagonist as the protagonist unless some other form of name has been established. If you refer to them as anything else I am liable to misinterpret actions as things like "undefined gender" "cloaked one" and others could be interpreted as part of the world. Would be awkward if you all meant the protagonist but I pulled another character thinking you were discussing them. I would also like to make a short reminder that their is a separate group who is handling the antagonist side of things. If you guys try to make the world do something that infringes upon the Antagonists power then I in the post following that action will state what does happen and what sections are invalid.)
Elsewhere....
A man stands in an abandoned village with what appears to be some cross of a pigeon and an eagle atop his arm. The bird nibbles on crumbs scattered on the man's arm as he nibbles on a strand of wheat. He slides a thin wrapped up piece of paper into a small wooden container strapped to the bird's leg before latching it shut. He scratches the bird's head and neck and it finishes eating the bread crumbs before it looks up at the man.
? ? ?: "Fly swiftly my Ochei, To home."
He raises his arm and the bird lifts up off his arm and shoots off in the distance. The man picks up his pack after seeing the bird vanish from site and continues walking towards his previous heading, making slow but steady progress.

A low rumbling moan echoes around the protagonist, almost like it had come from the building itself. The vibrations grew in intensity and the candles toppled off the altar. The protagonist braced him/herself against the wall until the vibrations subsided and noticed some stumbling figures turning into the hall. It was quite the strange experience to see a crowd running down the halls, yet hear only the slightest whispers.
Her singing... the only reason for the chain's seal to be loosened. It always brought her a small joy, although that was quickly overwhelmed by a yearning for the past. Her freedom was quite limited as it was, forced to repeat a few spells before being locked away again. Her master watched her carefully, even while talking to the guests. He knew even a simple mistake could end his exploitations and possibly his life. A Guardian was not to be trifled with... under normal circumstances... but he had followed her while she escaped from another Guardian. Most were quite vulnerable during hibernation after all.

Our protagonist noticed the stumbling figures, and despite being described as a crowd there were only three figures. Although to our shy protagonist any more than one person was a crowd. The crowd quietly and quickly passes by the altar room and into the other hall. From behind a small pillar our protagonist peeks around as they consider what to do next. Time to Decide....

She sat with her back against the bars of the cage, the other two doing similarly in their own. They were relatively back to back, though with the warmth of another's back being replaced by the cold metal. She told them stories of the outside, about the mysteries and wonders of those odd creatures. The twins were not strangers of the world, but they had also been kept from the world for decades so there was plenty new to them. On the other hand, she was quite inexperienced. She had been reset and only wandering for a few years before this incident happened. In that short time, she had learned that the inhabitants of this world feared her, or at least they reacted negatively to the glowing marks around her body. She sought to hide the marks and converted to a more "human" form, although her wings still remained tucked away under her robes.
The protagonist felt a tap on his/her back as he/she watched the figures walk off. He/she quickly leapt away to a wall and turned to see a short black creature. Its form was dark as night and seemed to make the room darken around it. The creature watched as he/she leapt for the ceiling and sighed. The darkness spiraled away from its face and revealed relatively humanoid features. It continued spreading and a vampire child appeared out of the darkness, or at least he would have seemed like a child if you didn't see his eyes.

The physical contact with anything results in our protagonist reacting heavily based on the panic associated with their shyness with little help from the fact there was no warning of the being appearing behind them. After catching a glance of the being our protagonist accelerates right out the entrance of the altar room and begins heading towards the exit at maximum speed. A being that can sneak up on them and even touch them before becoming noticed presented a threat unlike any other to the protagonist. The hallway is dimly lit by torches and the doorway looms closer as our protagonist approaches. Time to Decide...

The child watched as the protagonist fled and mumbled to himself, "I guess he/she failed after all... Sigh... It would be much too troublesome to find him/her with the sun out... Go see if he/she still remembers how to leave." He waves his hand a few times and a dark wisp floats out of the hole to follow the protagonist down the hall. "Try not to scare him/her would you?" The child yawns and tosses the candles on the altar carelessly. "I think I will just go back to sleep." The floor swallows him and seals up as he drops.
The door was locked by a puzzles of gears and bars. The protagonist tried twisting a few levers with the occasional glance back. A cloud of black fog crept down the hall and when it got too close, he/she kicked off the wall and onto a window ledge above the door. A claw formed when the fog reached the door, pulling at some levers until the door unlocked with a definite click. The fog pulls open the door and then condensed into a owl. It stands off to the side and says "See you around," while grooming itself.

Our protagonist slips out the door rapidly while keeping a close eye on the shadowy mist owl. Standing outside they consider what they should do next. Time to Decide...
Elsewhere:
Hagakure stumbles around on the opposite side of the mountain our protagonist starting on. He yells loudly and randomly about UFOs and shenanigans. Behind him a rather intoxicating breed of mushroom lies on the ground, a number of bite marks all over it.

(Gahh forgot to keep it neutral again =/ /me goes back to change =w= God of derailment indeed... xD)
The protagonist returns to the festival as the door silently shuts behind him/her. The crowds seem to have thinned with the heat of the afternoon sun. The protagonist wasn't sure which was worse... As he/she had little choice in the matter, he/she decided to go look for a shady location.
As there was little else to do, she went back to "sleep." She found herself on the mountain near the town. Some screams caught her attention and she followed them to the "hermit." He was running around and yelling about "UFOs," "ANTI-GRAVITY," and someone named "OWAIN."

The protagonist leaps up into the limbs of a tree growing between two houses and cools off there, attempting to collect their thoughts. While they nap among the trees they see the Sheriff(First old guard the protagonist ran into when they entered town) and another man slip into the alley beneath the tree and begin talking without realizing they have another pair of ears nearby.
Sheriff: "I am busy working the festival, too many people chugging that new liquor for my liking. Why do these people even like that fermented mushroom crap?"
? ? ?: "I just got a report back from one the scouts."
Sheriff: "Didn't I just say I was busy? I don't have time right now for a report on the color of dirt down south."
? ? ?: "Sir..... I received this message not less than 30 minutes ago. If you would at least let me read it then...."
Sheriff: "Fine, wasted my time long enough, get it over with!"
The nameless man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small message inscribed with characters the protagonist does not recognize nor is like any of the other scripts that are scattered around the city. Perhaps a code of some sort?
? ? ?: "Thank you sir, the message I received reads, "The Hand of Din Points. -Scout H"
The sheriff visibly pales at the sound of the note and rapidly wrenches it from the man's grip to read it over himself.
Sheriff: "******! Why now of all times?!? That lazy Din hasn't bothered to so much as talk to anyone besides the hand for the past 10 years!"
The sheriff mutters a number of curses in various languages as he massages his temples, thinking to himself.
Sheriff: "Get all the scouts we have and have them try to find out where the hand is pointing. With a little luck we might just be able to let this blow over and the Din will fade back into the shadows. If we are unlucky, we might have to start over again from scratch...."
The man attempts to regain the sheriff's attention, but only serves to draw his ire at the delay.
Sheriff: "DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME, WE DON'T HAVE TIME. GO SEND THOSE MEN THEIR ORDERS! AND DO NOT LET VICTOR HEAR OF THIS! That is a minefield we don't have time to deal with."
With a hasty "Yes, Sir" the man scrambles out of the alleyway and runs off down the road.
The Sheriff takes a few moments to regain his composure before calmly, well at least externally, walking off down the road as if nothing had happened.
Our protagonist listens in to the strange conversation full of terms they do not recognize. Perhaps memorizing them for now and looking into them later may prove useful. Distracted as our protagonist was the sun had started to slip behind the mountains while the eavesdropping occurred. The question is, what to do now. Time to Decide....
Terms: Din Hand of Din
Quotes: "The Hand of Din Points"

The protagonist suddenly realized that he/she had not eaten since morning when he/she had been trying the samples at the stalls. One of the meat cubes had been quite delicious, enough so that he/she risked walking by a second time to slip off with a few more samples. He/she wasn't sure where he/she could acquire more, so he/she wandered the streets searching for a restaurant which could potentially serve the dish.

The protagonist slips back towards the area where there were stalls, however many of them are closed or gone now that the festival has passed. There is also significantly less people and as a result our protagonist does not believe they could steal from a stall unnoticed. There is a stall selling various meats, but the people standing behind it, a man and a woman, are very attentive towards any who approaches. Time to Decide....

Taking another glance at the Lins in his/her pocket, the protagonist hears the woman beckon him/her over. The protagonist cautiously approaches and the man whispers "I need to sell off as much as I can with the festival over, so I'll offer you a deal. Interested?"
Meanwhile back at the church, the owl gets tossed out into the night. "Go find Sable would ya? Lets see if this is enough to gain her trust... again... Such a troublesome girl." The owl grumbles about animal abuse as it picks up a pouch. A shoe flies its way, so it dissolves into smoke and heads for the sky.
