Finally, it's time!!!!!
I will begin the production of a DRMMO Visual Novel, it'll be very basic, and cover most of the seasons.
There are a few issues, so please bear in mind.
-Season 2.5 will be dropped due to major loss of information on the site
-Season 1 and 2 will have "guessed" or improvised actions based off my memory of the game, players are encouraged to mention parts of the season that they remembered that I wouldn't know between these two.
-All Seasons on this site will be featured
Alright, cool, so basically, the game is separated into several "Chapters", each chapter compressing of various days. Each Chapter is a season.
So, let's get to the features of the game. The game is mostly story driven with sprites and text, made to visually explain everything that happened in seasons. Howeverrr, this would be rather boring alone!
Players take the role of the Mastermind of the season, or more like, the cameras from the eyes of the Mastermind. The game play is more driven off controlling the seasons then anything.
There will be multiple routes to each chapter, and Trial Phases.
Masterminds make actions in each game, and it's at those times MasterMinds can make actions. Most of you might already know what the mastermind does, this allows more creative "Fan Made Routes", of course, there's also the true route.
Players will be able to save the game at these choices at any time to be able to express each of the endings, each fanmade and each real ending.
If you are a Mastermind of a Season, please PM me on forums various different ways your season could have changed if you made a different choice!!!! Masterminds can choose to interfere with events, deny events, or change their ideas about things.
You will need to go through the Real Path to unlock the next chapter though, observing the players and making sure the season runs "smoothly" without any MasterMind mistakes. This means you want to try to think like the Mastermind in play, so you basically get into the shoes of MonobAir, Seadrias, Eclipse, and various others!
Trials work differently with elements, the characters portray the evidence they normally do. After each theory or question, the mastermind gets the chance to butt in and give hints, remain silent, or even control ESP in the early seasons. Sure, you can look at the old seasons (which are kinda a walkthrough), or try to figure out when it's safe to butt in and not! You might even end up executing the wrong person and swaying the vote, throwing you off into a Fan Made Route, oopse!
There are several hints and systems that are going to be in play to help the player know when to talk and when not to, i'm still trying to plan how to do this, i'm thinking of having a nonstop debate like scenerio come up where the player has the option to push a button and "butt in" to the conversation, with sometimes being completely ignored by the players, thus making you lose hearts.
Post what you think, what you want to see, and much more! Most of the cast will be using sprites from Dangan Ronpa and will be repeated. For example, Seadrias was Togami in S2 but KingGram was Togami in S1. Sea will be Togami in both seasons and KingGram switched to a different character.
I'm in process of the "Prototype" right now, which will be from Season two random scenes to allow you to mess around with what sort of things you can do, and will feature one of the trials.
It won't look like the final product for sure.
