Dual Seasons is a new series I would like to start, either during or after the Chaotic Reunion trilogy if enough players are interested.
Dual Seasons are far less chaotic then most of my other seasons, but just as much interesting mechanics.
In Dual Season: Origins, players take the role of two characters. These characters are bound by a bond that will allow them to see what each other is thinking at all times.
Each of the two characters are very different: One is considered a White Player, while the other is a Black Player. Each player has special things about them, and only the Player will know which is White and which is Black.
A Black Player can perform murder and is stronger then the White Player in combat. The Black Player is slow to react, so will need to perform murders and fights while ending them as quickly as possible to minimize the risk of losing. Black Player is also more alert then the White Player.
A White Player can perform better investigations and hold more items then the Black Player, White Player is also faster to react and move then the Black Player, so doing actions such as moving evidence around or running would be much easier.
Now, here is the catch. A Black Player and a White Player can not exist in the same room outside of trials. This means that players will need to be smart with how they perform actions with these characters.
In Trial Rooms, the bond between Players are obvious, so knowing what pairs are what will not be OOC knowledge. However, knowing who is White and who is Black will prove useful.
Each White and Black will receive their own SHSL Ability, as well as be able to help each other out in "Co-op" puzzles. I believe this system adds much interesting concepts never before introduced.
The issue is with moving both around. It's also with needing to specify WHITE or BLACK each time messaging the Mastermind. I do believe this could be worked out, but it does prove difficult at this point.
