The True Magician

Season 1: Committed the first murder, orchestrated the murders of several players and subsequently was murdered herself.

Season 1 began with Vicky thrown into the house, likely more confused than most of the others, with one thing on her mind: Murder. She observed the others idly as they talked, debated and discussed solely on one thing: the Mystery. She had no idea what this mystery even was, or what it had anything to do with her, except for one note Lumai left in her room about a piano. The note sparked a small inkling of curiosity in her, but it was insufficient as Vicky soon gave up searching for this piano. It was simply nowhere to be found on her own, and surely no one else was willing to help her. After all, everyone had their own secrets, everyone was worried about their own survival. It was a game of individuals.

Then something unexpected happened. Vicky was drawn into two alliances. The latter was the Long Knives alliance, unfittingly named after the Nazi terror that once rained on a bloody night. But nonetheless, it stuck, but Vicky soon discovered Yokai, the leader, had other plans in mind, and that she would be a major part of them. The real alliance, however, was one with many names, all ridiculous. What originally started as an alliance of mutual protection and survival while attempting to solve the mystery between Lexi, Sakuya, Pepper and Mystio soon became infected by something. Something cute, but deeply evil. 

And then the dusk of the first day came, and night fell. RawForce was alone, asleep, in the Assembly Room. Vicky had previously taken a shard of glass and paper from the Study, all she needed to commit the first murder. As soon as she saw the chance, she pierced RawForce's body with the shard of glass, placing sheets of paper underneath him. She then dragged him outside and to the 3rd Floor Bedroom, where his blood was mostly drained onto the carpet. Vicky dragged his body back to the 2nd Floor Bedroom, placing him on the bed with the last few sheets of paper so none of his blood would stain the bed. She burned the bloodied papers in the Incinerator and hid the glass in a vase, then washing her hands to remove the traces of blood on them. She then returned to the Lounge, and slept comfortably. 

The next day, RawForce's body was found, and an investigation promptly started. The alliance was unfortunately asleep during the murder, so Vicky was left all on her own to cover things up. Until an unexpected ally came along, Yokai. Vicky was surprisingly unsuspected for most of the Inquisition, but when suspicion was brought against her, Yokai came in to drive it away. Once the alliance discovered this murder, Yokai was soon brought in, and the goal of the alliance changed swiftly. The only objective in sight was to shed blood and escape through deceit and murder. The trial ended up with a twist - the most prominent investigator Zaidann became the target of suspicion through a cruel play of fate. Thus began the tradition of doubting investigators and even suspecting them. All of them aside from Seadrias, the Ace Detective. Zaidann was soon executed and Vicky was revealed as the murderer, to the extreme shock of all of the people in the house. An evil nature was hidden beneath that cute exterior, and it was to be watched cautiously. 

The time soon came when Vicky saw her next target. The only obvious choice was Seadrias. Vicky would give another person a chance to get a murder under their belt, Lexi. Lexi was at first reluctant to do it, but the plans were made regardless. Soon Lexi had no choice and agreed to being the one to lure Seadrias into a trap that would be the end of him. Vicky had to stay under the radar, but behind the curtains, she was pulling the chains of death. When the night came, so did Death. Vicky was forced to make a deal to kill The Devil.

Yokai appeared, asking a return of the favor she gave to Vicky. The favor she requested was clear: to kill the entire Long Knives alliance. Vicky was reluctant at first because that would involve killing Lexi, something not even she would agree to under normal circumstances. But she gave in. She formulated a complex and impeccable plan that would result in all of their deaths. But Vicky was still conflicted, and as a way to betray Yokai if necessary, she brought in the Wild Card, Mystio. This proved to be the end of Yokai, but unfortunately it also proved to be the end of Lexi, someone dear to her.

But before those events transpired, Vicky fell asleep in the First Floor Hallway on the night of Seadrias' murder. The morning after, she was found dead and naked in the Incinerator Room. This prompted rage and feelings of revenge. Vicky's murderer was discovered, but also discovered dead. As an act of vengeance, Saeko's lover Bed was convicted of his murder and executed. The numbers dwindled and soon the test ended as a result of Yokai's failed massacre. But soon everyone found themselves alive, including Vicky. Utterly confused and amnesiac, Vicky found herself in a new setting with new intentions.

The Hanged Man

The new test began in a completely different light. An alliance quickly formed between Vicky, Lexi and Kyou (Athena), called the Astrio. The intended goal was to secure the Astral Arcana, but that goal soon proved impossible as they later discovered our mistake in analyzing the arcana. Sakuya defected from this alliance due to his desires to be independent. Soon it became apparently that he could not escape that fate no matter which side he joined. Vicky assumed leadership of the Astrio and began talks with Seadrias and Mystio, who then agreed to form a Detectives' Alliance, with Ai (Sonia). Vicky vowed to align with the side of good and refrain from malicious activities, especially murder. She was determined to solve the mystery and convict all murderers.

The people in the Cathedral soon became polarized as Juneko made her intentions clear. The Confederation remained as secret as possible to the public eye; the secrecy was simple to maintain due to the expected nature mistrust between the members. Their objective was to discover Juneko's toys and prevent them from either committing murders or getting away with them. One was clear - Yokai. Yokai obviously could remember Mystio's betrayal and shifted blame onto Vicky, making his intentions clear. He was openly murderous and a major threat to the Confederation's interests. 

But ESP revealed the note that sparked the investigation into the mystery. A note that would be of great importance, but unfortunately be misinterpreted in the grand scheme. But before such investigations could occur, a surprising turn of events took place. Mystio, the one who had been developing some sort of relationship with Vicky over the course of the past few days, had had a secret meeting with ESP. He then accused her of being Justice, and a trial began. Of course, ESP lived, but there began the shadowy nature of Mystio's secretive plans. They were an enigma, one of greater mysteries than the mystery of the Cathedral itself. But Kleara simply could not refrain from pointing out the mild flirtations between Vicky and Mystio, which detracted from the seriousness of the matters at hand. 

As the game soon started, Juneko's targets became clearer. Lexi and Ai being prime targets only incited Vicky to anger, declaring her threats to the Mastermind if harm was to come to those two. But focus quickly shifted onto ESP, as claims that she was Lumai's spy were thrown around. In retrospect, this clouded the thoughts of the Confederation and resulted in their ends. The players of the 'game' began revealing the contents of their room and the many facets of the mystery became apparent. Vicky received part of a picture that would later be pieced together and become a starting point for the story the mystery had to tell. 

When the 'game' began, it turned out that the First Floor had been robbed of all items by Sakuya, whom they deemed as a traitor. Then, the "first" murder occurred to the great dismay of the Confederation. Ai died. But her death was reversed in time. How that happened would be discovered later. The newly revived Ai joined them as they discovered a secret room hidden behind the cross in the Inquisition Room: The Crypt. The one to enter the correct password to the lock was Vicky, who would soon receive The Hanged Man arcana for her intuition. The information found in the Crypt was essential to the mystery, but the Confederation decided to keep it a secret. By that point, the Confederation was a full-blown alliance. 

The real first murder took place promptly afterwards, but Yokai was quickly discovered as Rena's murderer. It was to Vicky's relief that such a threat was executed so soon, although she had wished she could bring Yokai to her side before she died. Unfortunately, that could not happen. When the drama of the murder investigation ended, it was time for Kleara to hand over her letter to Vicky and Mystio. The contents of the letter proved to be the most ironic and accurate depiction of events to come. "Fate is cruel." With that letter as a boost of motivation, Vicky went to Kiel's room to open the trap door inside. There, she found the book she and Kyou had been looking for - VOL. NO. 1. The book required a 5-digit passcode to open, which no one had an inkling as to. 

Once the Second Floor was open, more investigations began. But Vicky was finally able to properly use her arcana, discovering that the door to the Armory was weak. What transpired afterwards was a mass raid to all of the weapons inside, but resulted in the Wheel of Fortune using his power to seal it forever. With the Wheel revealed, it became clearer that Ai's revival was a result of that power. The Second Floor was solved later by other players, as Vicky had no leads to figure out the password to the computer. But what was on the computer was telling, a backwards-moving clock. A new player, Chatter, also arrived, who would form an unexpected relationship with Vicky in due time. 

Vicky and Sea finally decided to reveal the information they found in the Crypt, which in turn revealed ESP as the voice of the tapes they found. Mystio finally revealed his secret note, as well. The combination of clues led them to believe that ESP was the one who saved everyone, but was also the one who would lead them all to their deaths. Vicky then tied the 12 desks in the Classroom and the 12 tombs in the Crypt together with the story of The Little Girl, which became a metaphor for the mystery from then on.

But Sea ended up killing himself in a failed attempt to kill Sakuya, and as a result, the Third Floor was opened. Sea was resurrected thanks to Judgement, and Sakuya remained alive thanks to Strength. Investigations of the Third Floor remained unfruitful as all signs pointed to murder. The darkness did not aid solving the floor, either. But Vicky found a code on the ceiling, a 5-digit code. She opened VOL. NO. 1 and found a key inside, and she used it to unlock a door in the Player Dorms. The room she opened was the 31st Room, where she finally found a spot to put up the framed picture of all of the players, happy and alive. But the joy of discovery was soon over, as Zaidann was found dead. Vicky assumed the guilt because she had asked Zaidann to go to the Crypt that night, where he was murdered. To no avail, Vicky tried her hardest to find his murderer, but everyone failed the trial. It was revealed that the murderer was Juneko, a twist on what appeared to be the rule of a mastermind being unable to kill. As Juneko had abused Sakuya in order to perform the murder, Sakuya finally returned to Vicky as her ally. 

To everyone's delight, Juneko was soon found dead by Mystio. Mystio tried his best to pin the murder on ESP, but with Ai's help, Vicky revealed Mystio as the Wheel of Fortune and brought forth damning evidence against him. Vicky never intended to betray Mystio, but she did what had to be done. Even after irrefutably accusing him of murder, Vicky still tried to save Mystio by ruling Juneko's death a suicide. But Lumai would not have that. With Mystio's execution, there was little left but to focus fully on the mystery. However, Luna had an alternate plan in mind. He committed suicide with the hopes that Vicky would convict Sakuya and execute him, but he failed to realize Sakuya was a friend of Vicky's and she would never betray him in such a manner. Luna died a wasteful death, much to his spite and fury. As a result of Kyou's investigation, he received The Hierophant arcana, allowing him to listen to all of the hateful comments the souls of the dead had towards the Detectives. Unfortunately, the trend of death didn't stop there. As a result of misinterpretation of Vicky's words by Gram, Halisi was murdered. Gram ended up admitting to the crime, thus worsening Vicky's guilt, as she blamed herself for more than half of the deaths that had occurred so far.

With the Fourth Floor open, all that was left was to await a murder to stop Lumai. Vicky was left with one enemy: Eclipse. Eclipse spread darkness throughout the Cathedral and received The Moon. Vicky, believing herself to be invincible, foolishly attempted to knock him out and stop him. However, Eclipse gained the upper hand and murdered her. But thanks to the incredible efforts and acts of love from Lexi, Vicky was resurrected through her arcana. Vengeful, as well as believing that Chatter had betrayed her in his role as her spy, Vicky contracted Pepper, an old friend, into murdering both Chatter and Eclipse. However, the plan did not go as expected, due to the misconception that Eclipse still had The Moon, and Chatter ended up being the only one killed. A turn of events took place, and Kiel was found dead and Eclipse was found faking his own suicide. It was revealed that someone obtained The Chariot, and stripped Kyou of his arcana, changing his intent to murderous. At Vicky's behest, Kyou went to Eclipse's body and kicked the knife in deeper so that he was absolutely dead. The trials went as planned, with Kiel and Eclipse being voted a suicide, and Chatter's death voted at the hands of Eclipse. 

Finally, the final floor arrived. The trial against Lumai that the Detectives had been waiting for. They were all so sure that they figured out the mystery, as Sea and Vicky discussed what had happened up until the beginning of the second test in the Fifth Floor's trial room. They believed that ESP was the Wheel of Fortune who saved them all, and that Lumai found them again and began a second test. They were right about the latter part, but they were completely wrong about the former. Failing to realize the whole time that Juneko was the one who saved them all and unwillingly was forced to kill them all, the survivors failed the trial against Lumai. And they all burned to their deaths.
