This game will follow the normal rules of MMG with the following changes.
Movement and Phases
There will be no changes to the movement rules. Please follow the links in the threads and follow special instructions on movement if listed in the thread (i.e. if a room says "staying in here for more than 5 minutes will make you faint", you will not be able to move after staying in the room for over 5 minutes).
Phases will be conducted in day and night sections. During daytime everything will be normal. During nighttime, everything will become dark and players will not be able to perform any significant actions without a light source.
Murder and Trial System
Murders and Trials will be conducted as normal, with one change. The players will decide when to conduct a trial and which victim's death to debate on by majority vote. All deaths will be announced as normal, and murder reports will be given out as normal, however it will be up to the players to treat which deaths as significant. Only 1 culprit can be voted on per death, and only 1 person can be executed per trial. Trials for each murder can be conducted anytime, however over time evidence relating to the murder will disappear. Trials will have a time limit of 24 hours, if the trial is not resolved in that time then no trials can be conducted for 24 hours after the first one fails.
Power System and Sigils
All players will receive a single SDGL ability, which will function as their passive perk (no, I did not spell SHSL incorrectly). Each player will also receive 5 Sigils and an ElectroID at the beginning of the game. The Sigils will correspond to the player's questionnaire in applications. Sigils can be used for a wide variety of purposes, which will not be mentioned since they relate to specific game locations. Sigils can also be used to download Apps for your ElectroID.
Examples of Apps:
KNIFE APP - Add a knife blade to your ElectroID which will slide out when the App is activated.
Requirement: 1 Sigil of any type
CHLOROFORM APP - Add a chloroform container to your ElectroID which can be manually sprayed when the App is activated.
Requirement: 1 Life Sigil or Death Sigil
Sigils used to download apps will be consumed permanently. You may steal another player's Sigils, but while Sigils originally owned by you weigh 0, stolen Sigils will weigh 1. You may only have 1 App active at a time, and there will be a 10 minute cooldown after an App has been deactivated. Though this does not mean you should have your App always activated, since it might become obvious what App you have if people notice a knife is sticking out of your ElectroID.
Key Sigils
Key Sigils are a special type of sigil which allows players to lock and unlock doors. A key sigil will begin in a Lock state, and can be used to lock a door. When the key sigil is used to lock a door, it will go into an Unlock state, and in that state it will only be able to unlock doors. There will be at least 3 key sigils hidden on every floor, and 1 key sigil will be given to the group for every curse murder that occurs. 3 key sigils are required to unlock a floor, and those key sigils that are used in this way will be consumed permanently.
(note that these numbers are subject to change based on how many players are in the game)
Curse System
Similar to Season 4, all players will be under the effects of a curse. This means that 1 person will die every night. The first 3 days will be free of automatic deaths, however, people will continue dying after the 3rd day unless the source of the curse is found. Deaths caused by the curse will be specified in their respective murder reports.
Note that these numbers are subjective to change depending on how many players are participating
NPC System
Darius Lamar is an NPC who will act as a guide in this game. As a Demigod of Truth, Darius will assist players in finding the truth to their situation and will serve as a "safe zone" where murders are not allowed (because if you murder in front of the Demigod of Truth, you're pretty much screwed). Please note that Darius can be killed as usual, and can also kill other players. However, he will admit to all of his murders if he ever commits any, since he values truth above all else.
Afterlife
All players will go to the Afterlife when they die where they will encounter random mysteries and mysterious entities. Will this have any impact on the game whatsoever? Who knows?
