Origin Chapter
Mystio was born four years before Hajime. She was born on April 1st, 1999. Mystio was born during an age of high technology advancements, where the world was beginning to spin into chaos.
It was when Mystio was 8 years old that the Great Technology Sweep caused a great terror to the world. Technology became too great for humanity, and computers began attacking back. Without intelligence, technology wrecked havoc and caused death to most humans including Mystio's parents. The technology wasn't able to stabilize itself, and it died not long after. The world became one full of crime and despair, one isolated by it's own emptiness.
Mystio and her big brother lived together in a very low income house, they struggled to survive much like most others who lived in their area of the world. Hajime's life of spreading hope around began to get on Mystio's nerves, as she strongly believed that the despair that was consuming the world could not be defeated by being blind and ignorant to it.
Mystio was found shortly after her brother gained some fame in one of his jobs of hope. Mystio was picked up at the age of 10 and abducted from Hajime. Mystio was turned into a Pop Idol to raise money for a big corporation that went bankrupt after the Technology Sweep. After much force, Mystio eventually gave in to singing their songs of hope to the world, songs about humans forgiving technology and working alongside it to fix the world. Mystio became what was known as a Hopealoid, and was always using various technology as a form of fashion.
When Mystio was thirteen years old, Hajime caused a great crime and murdered the head of the corporation. Mystio was released and used the technolgy to aid her in destroying the entire company, The company eventually burned down in flames, and most of the employees ended up committing suicide out of struggles to survive with the worlds job market.
Hajime could hardly recognize Mystio with her new obsession with technology, and found it disgusting. With all the murders Mystio had helped out with, her tainted heart slowly became more sinister as time went on. Hajime had left in search of something he never told her, and she never seen him for an entire year after he left.
At age fourteen, Mystio was abducted yet again. This time, however, she knew that her brother would never be able to save her. Mystio learned that she was being taken into custody because her big brother was involved in something on a land very far away, one of the biggest mysteries in the world.
Apparently it involved some sort of Mystery Game where people murder each other to win. Mystio could not learn much about this, but decided that this was her best lead. Mystio waited for the proper moment and struck the two men, knocking them out and escaping back into the world. Mystio decided to go find the Mystery Games to find out what happened to her brother and what he was searching for.
Mystio made a broadcast about the Mystery Game, but got abducted yet again before it could be published. The next thing Mystio knew, she was awakened at an island alongside several other players. Some even said to have known her big brother Hajime.
This is when Mystio's quest to find out what happened begu

Princess of Deceit
Name: Hatsune Mystio (Referred as just Mystio) Age: 14 Season Appearances: Season Q, Season AfterLife Progression: Season Q fourth death, Season AfterLife MasterMind Trait: Deceitful like her brother, yet for pleasure of betrayal
SEASON Q
Mystio is seen searching for her big brother, when she discovers the portal. She finds out about the "Hell Games" that her big brother had spoken so much about, and participated to find out clues about him.
During the portal, they had to scan to create a SHSL super power that would describe how you would act and a special power that would come with it, Mystio deceived the scan to believe that she was just like her brother. It gave her SHSL Hope.
Mystio led everyone to believe that her power made it so that she could not commit any murder without a proper motive, and to protect herself she made it so that she could not be murdered either without a proper motive.
Mystio explores the game with no fear, not understanding why her big brother hated the games so much. Mystio enjoyed the island and picked up many items, even going as far as to summon many sharks in the hot tub and letting everyone know she seen someone sabotage the area, even though it was her.
Mystio then noticed a man named Seadrias who reminded her of her brother, and was trying to solve everything in the name of Hope. Seadrias is going around knocking out all characters and discovering all their items to find out who dug up a specific area and what they obtained. Mystio let him know that she had knocked out June and found a shovel, but she had too much stuff so she couldn't search her. Seadrias complied and came in, where Mystio tasered him, stunning him. Mystio beat him out of joy with an armor breaking bat, and threw him in the shark infested water, to either drown or get eaten.

Queen of Despair
Name: Hatsune Mystio (Referred as just Mystio) Age: 14 Season Appearances: Season Q, Season AfterLife Progression: Season AfterLife MasterMind Trait: Deceitful like her brother, yet for pleasure of betrayal Season: AfterLife
Mystio learns that she has been inside a large simulation made up of specially selected players, a simulation that you could not escape that was held on an isolated island. The players that were placed in where to be trained into a Special Investigation Force.
The players all learn that they had all been born with gifted unique powers, SHSL powers, and that they were to be strengthened through the simulations. Mystio began to wonder what her SHSL truly was, as she had thought that she had forced her way into the games. Upon her concern though, she learns that it was no accident that she was brought here.
The players are all put into a Secret Special Investigation Force, where they are made to solve extremely difficult murders. Mystio, however, spent more of her time causing despair across the world. It was probably because of these evil deeds, however, that she was branded an outcast of the group and beaten up / bullied often. Eventually Mystio got too weak, and was therefor terminated from the force.
Mystio seen a therapist about the problem, who told her time and time again on how to contain the anger. In frustration once when he lectured her on hope, Mystio committed murder on him. Running to her house, Mystio decides to act fast and come up with a diabolical plan of revenge against the other force members. Mystio commits suicide and creates a plan to have them bring her back to life, and then kill each other under her watch.
This plan, however, is foiled by her brother Hajime. Hajime moves her body outside the magical circle, where Mystio disappears.
Mystio awakes inside a pod, her body weak and thin. Mystio gathers the strength to open the pod, and sees Hajime standing there in a room full of nothing but many pods. There is a single door in the room with a sign saying EXECUTION glowing and making a sound. The shutter door opens.
Mystio and Hajime walk out, with no wheres else to go. Outside is a large stage full of people, and a large monitor displaying the progress of all the people inside the simulation. The next thing Mystio knew, her brother was trapped inside a barbed cage, while she had a visor with headphones on her.
On the monitor, it displayed karaoke for one of her terrible songs of hope, and a pitch meter. The message appears "Sing loud to save Hajime!", and the louder she sung, the slowly the barbed cage went from slicing him.
However, the headphones would echo the song back into her ears at a crazy high volume, causing her head to pound and her eardrums to burst. It wasn't long before Mystio fell to the floor. Mystio looked over at the monitor, and watched as the pitch meter slowly emptied. The echo still going, screeching at her ears.
Before Mystio closed her eyes, she caught a glimpse at the SHSL powers the monitor shown. Then, the pitch meter reached 0 and the helmet exploded.
Mystio never awoke again.
Hatsune Mystio: SHSL Misunderstood. And Hajime Mystio, SHSL Despair.

SHSL Misunderstood
Between Seasons
Hatsune Mystio, having been killed in the afterlife, had been taken out of the simulation world that had been keeping the world stable after the Technology Sweep.
Mystio, now in the "True AfterLife", rots as an eternal ghost in a world that is impossible for her to escape. Mystio, now a ghost, finds herself in a world that could only be explained as True Hell. There, many demons and other demonic beings existed. The pain of the demonic world was far too much for Hatsune to handle.
In this world, Hatsune never found her brother.
This pain. This world. She was for sure dead. This wasn't like the simulations, this eternal rift wasn't a dream. She was dead for real, and no magical powers could just bring her back. She sat there, in pain, thinking back on the past.
Mystio slowly began to recognize that it wasn't her being Despair at all. It was everyone else who made her out to be despair. It was the kidnapping that put her in the terrible situations that caused her to side with the destroyer of the world (technology), and it was the abuse she went from in the past to cause her AfterLife plan to occur. Even though, it was her hesitation and heart that caused her to fail this plan, delaying the terrible plan until Hajame eventually stopped it and finished her off.
And then there was her murder in the past, where she was mislead by the MasterMind into thinking that Seadrias was the one whom was messing up puzzles and causing true despair for all the students. On the outside, the betrayal and killing of Seadrias overjoyed Mystio, yet in her heart she had believed she was doing the right thing.
It was all the truth: Mystio was only SHSL Misunderstood and nothing else. If only she could go back in time, none of AfterLife would have happened. And she would still be alive today.

The Blood That Saved Her
Season: AfterLife
At the end of Season: AfterLife, all players were saved when both Hatsune and Hajime died before everyone's eyes. Once the two had died, the players decided that it was fine, assuming everything was a lie and that they were not phantoms, to leave the premise outside of the magic circle.
Most of the players left without any issue whatsoever.
One of the participants, however, named Ragna, had stayed behind. Once everyone had cleared from the building, his plan began to take action.
Mystio was only in hell for approximately two hours, before she found herself in a world of blood. Afraid, Mystio explored this strange area and found the man in red, Ragna. Ragna presented Mystio with a contract, one that would allow her life in the world of the living to continue during the course of the contract, and that when the contract breaks; so will her life. Mystio, along with the demon cat that had been sitting on her head from her brief time in the afterlife, began the next phase of her life during the Blood Shift Era.
When the contract was signed, a strange and red outfit layered Mystio to remind her of her contract bound to her life.
Season: BloodShift PreGame
Mystio had great difficulty finding out how she would be able to atone for her sins with the people around her unable to trust any words she would throw their way. In order to deal with this issue, Mystio decided it would be best to enter the games under a disguise so that people would not know it was her; thus allowing her to make friends and help bring a certain aspect of peace to the world. Mystio had hoped that perhaps she would be able to do her entire atonement while under a disguise.
The disguise was a Blood Outfit, an outfit that covered her body and face in a nun like outfit that was bound to her skin through her blood. This outfit was impossible to look under or take off, unless her blood was to stop pumping. Mystio then found herself in a large tower with all the other players, under the persona of "Sora" to represent the mysteriousness of the wind. Shy and quick, this name was perfect for her.
Sora took a huge interest in the tower she was in and attempted to solve the origin of the strange powers of the BloodShift. She was mostly interested to find out how the BloodShift power worked and how she could use it to bring herself back to life without the contract. Sora proceeded to attempt to solve the mystery and spent most of her time in the Meeting room attempting to fix a laptop she thought held her answers.
However, it seemed that no matter how much she tried to be friends and bring peace, it appeared that she was in bad taste for others. Before long, she was brutally killed while doing the good deed of returning items to a closet that specified to please do so. The next moment she knew, she had been killed. Her disguise had deteriorated, and her true form was revealed.
Sora entered the game, using the disguise to help hide her from anyone that would have recognized her as the princess of deceit. She knew that with her identity known, she would instantly be murdered and branded a liar.
But, as Sora, quiet and observant, Mystio realized how pointless the work she went into was. Not a single person seemed to recognize her.
Instead, Mystio decided to use her disguise to bait out the intentions and hearts of all the others. It was almost immediate that a man named Jin was murdered.
Mystio's intention was to disguise herself as a secret spy for the mastermind, for this to work, Mystio could not not know any information about the case. To avoid this, Mystio talked entirely in circles and acted out of line to cause Ragna to do predictable outbursts. This made everyone heavily suspicious of a bond between Sora and Ragna, and the potential she was a spy.
This meant that Sora was important to the mystery of the tower. But what would each person do? Simply talk to Sora to get to know the answers? Or..?
It wasn't long after the trial, which was resolved to have been done by Nue, that Sora was brutally murdered in the most ridiculous way.
Sora ressurected with the Blood Shift and found out that her killer was caught, or rather, killers. There was three of them; Akiko leading Axel and Jin. Axel had apparently went crazy and mutilated her body after.
When the Blood Shift ressurected Mystio, however, her disguise melted with her blood. She was Hatsune Mystio once again, plain as day. The players were surprised to find that she was not a spy at all.
Mystio introduced herself along with Grudge, and was immediately patted by Clear who was baited by Grudges cuteness, who ignored Mystio completely. Mystio freaked out and startled Clear away, feeling bad afterwords.
Soon later, Mystio began talking to the people around her, bragging about how she was the only one who had ever played in the Hell Games. Seiji immediately picked a fight with Mystio, calling her a moronic human who is stepping out of line. Mystio then snapped back, explaining that she was neither living nor dead, and could not be explained as a mere human.
It was here that Akiko began to mesmerize with Mystio and explain her background. She told Mystio about how she found endless battles and slaughtered many people, all to fight a war with her brother who had supposedly killed her. Akiko lives only to find and kill her brother.
Jin then explains that he is Ragna's brother, and also shares the same interest: Killing his brother. Mystio then begins to understand that deep down in her heart, the whole reason she had been searching for her brother was because she also wanted revenge for everything, and wanted to end his life.
Lloyd came in, an innocent young eager cadet in training to be a detective, but surrounded by all the people made Mystio very nervous. She fled to another room without thinking at all, her heart pounding heavily.
Later, Mystio returned to the room to find Raiden playing a soft melody. In the room also was Lloyd and Akiko, Mystio was calm and sat down. Mystio conversed a bit more with the others, talking about her dark past this time. She admitted to her dark past, and felt it only fair they were prepared with the knowledge they needed.
Mystio spent the rest of the night singing with Raiden.
The next day, Mystio awoke in a crowd. Mystio immediately fled to the room. After returning, Mystio found Seiji, Lloyd, and Jin. They were making fun of how awful they thought Mystio's singing was, but this did not phase her. Lloyd kept questioning why Mystio fled, who explained that she just needed the bathroom. I tt wasn't long before they found out that there was no bathrooms, so Mystio was forced to explain that she had a Blood Punishment that induced paranoia in large groups due to being killed by a large group.
New rooms opened up, and Mystio decided it was time to murder. Mystio goes to the supply room and grabs a rag in a way nobody could possible see. Mystio rolls a rag inside another to make one big ball, and begins to clean the area that the bodies were. Mystio announced that she was making sure the rules were followed and the areas were nice and clean. Mystio then returned the ball of rag and windex, but made sure to slip the inner ball into her pocket.
Mystio travels through the rooms to the new room, the Collection Room. On the way she picks up a pen and notepad, and wire. Mystio documentes all the items in all the rooms, as part of her plan. Once she reaches the room, she noticed 2 syringes. Both of them are missing a needle, however, so Mystio assumes that no murder weapon was possible. But then, Mystio got an idea, and assumed she was the first one in the room, and could use the fact that she was the first to see things for her murder. Mystio wrote down in the notepad that there was 2 broken syringes, and one fixed.
Mystio then hid under the bed, but made sure the push the chair infront in a casual way so that she was not visible. She waited and waited. Eventually, her stomache kept growling, and she feared it would give her away. Part of the floor near her gave in though, and some crackers appeared. Mystio gladly accepted the gift and even fed some to Grudge, then returned the box to the hole while whispering thank you. The floor went back to normal.
Mystio watched as Raiden entered the room. Raiden wasn't coming near the bed, so Mystio left him be. She had no real reason to kill him anyway. But then, Mystio seen Seiji's feet enter the room and quickly dash at Raiden, knocking him down to the ground out cold. Mystio seen him tie up Raiden as well.
Quietly, Mystio crawled out and grabbed Seiji by the feet, and flung Seniji to the ground, bashing her head against the floor. Mystio grabs a glove and puts it on her right hand. Mystio then grabbed the rag and shoved it deep inside the throat of Senji, suffocating her to death. Mystio then takes the wire and makes a small needle sized stab in Senji's neck after the death, and then placed the needle in the center of the rag, folded neatly for cusion. Mystio then took the syringe and smashed it with her foot next to Senji, to make the illusion that it could have had the needle. Mystio then took of her glove and placed the rag inside the glove, and stuck the glove in her shoe. This was her biggest mistake, because in the heat of the moment, she had forgotten to stick the glove inside a clean one before putting it in her shoe.
Mystio then grabbed the victims hand and smashed herself hard on the face. This was not near enough to knock her out though, just to make a visible bruise.
Mystio went to the corner and hypervenalated while hanging upside down, causing her to be knocked out. While unconsious, Raiden woke up and screamed for help and to be untied. Everyone began to investigate, Raiden petted Grudge and let him know that Mystio was only sleeping.
Mystio awoke an hour after, and presented her notepad to everyone. She then began to compare all the items in every room in order to check what items were used in the murder. This was the perfect excuse to manuver around a lot after the crime, and slip the glove from her shoe into the supply closet.
Once she returned, she joined in the investigation and mentioned bogus theories. The blame shifted to Jin, who was accused. Mystio successfully got away with the murder she did to cause despair in everyones hearts, but also to save Raiden who was kind enough to sing with her.
It was later found out that Senji had a complete syringe on her, and the two needles, and was indeed in the Collection Room before anyone else. Mystio felt a little dumb that she had planted the red herring through all that effort, when she could have just taken it right from the victim herself.

Blood Contract of Atonement
Name: Hatsune "Blood" Mystio (Referred as just Mystio) Age: 14 Season Appearances: Season Q, Season AfterLife, Season BloodShift Progression: Caught murdering Thrax and Seija Trait: Girl of Atonement and deceit Season: BloodShift
As the one who had forged a contract with a mysterious man who had brought her back to life, Mystio had a simple contract to induce emotion upon all the players. Mystio had to do this is the form of "chaos and love", and was told that once the contract was complete, she would find her life whole and free once again.
Mystio began by forging a contract using the information provided on the real one to fake a contract that her true purpose was that of atonement. She did this to deceive all the others from thinking that she was the same old Mystio, an old tactic she had used in almost every season. Of course, she was not believed at all in the beginning at all.
After the pregame had concluded, Mystio and the others had found themselves stuck inside the hell game. Mystio began exploring this crazy building, and began to lay false red herring clues to throw off the trust everyone seemed to be forming. Mystio did this by making it appear that there were multiple traitors in the building.
Mystio demised a plan to perform a perfect unsolvable murder, or so she had thought. She began to gather all the items she would need for the complex murder. However, just as she had almost finished preparations, Both Seadrias and Thrax were found dead. Everyone rushed to try to solve the trial, but the effort was completely meaningless.
A player named Sume came forth and claimed to have seen the murder of Thrax go down by Makoto. Makoto had just came right up and murdered him upfront, now all that was left was the murder of Nue. Makoto admitted to doing this murder as well, but the method threw the whole investigation off course. The victim had a sleep arrow stuck in them, and Makoto did not appear to have a Blood Weapon capable of such a feat.
Makoto was chased around the entire house, in a strange invincible form. Mystio thought of deactivating his powers temporarily so the goose chase could be put to a rest, but by the time she had decided this, the trial came to an end. Everyone voted Makoto for both murders and hoped for the best, and proved correct. It appeared that Makoto had murdered Seadrias by interfering another player attacking her first.
The next day, a Blood Shift revived all the players. This also changed the entire house's location, and Mystio was shocked to find out that all her items were lost. In a fit of rage, Mystio attempted to locate every item again, but could only find around half of them.
Rushing the murder, Mystio went ahead and performed her "imperfect perfect murder scheme", but didn't even notice that the bedsheets she was going to use to soak up blood was very thin. She ended up successfully murdering both Seija and Thrax, and switched the entire cause of death evidence for both murders, and planted the knock out for Seija (first victim) to Thrax's body. Little did she know, however, that she would end up dragging a bloody bedsheet everywhere around the house, as she got lost. This evidence helped everyone get the pieces of the murder perfect, and she was found out immediately.
Mystio got severely depressed and threw away her SHSL title of Despair. She admitted to all her doings and grew in atonement. Mystio then found an escape, and felt nobody else deserved to know about it. Mystio, by herself, escaped from the hell game.
