The Mine Entrance
(After the Cave In)
Walls of earth surround you on all sides, a deep dark brown that you can barely make out in the flickering light. At the highest point of the tunnel a wall of rubble blocks the path you originally used to descend into the tunnel. The blockade is a mixture of dirt, mud, and stone and it doesn’t look like it can be dug through. Above you are two dim lines that provide very minimal light to the area. The walls of this section of the tunnel appear to be held up by wooden constructs. Through the dim light you can see that the tunnel shrinks and continues deeper. The earth smells of dirt and iron as you draw closer to the small pathway and the ground gets softer with every step.
