-You see someone run into the trial room-
"Ahem, apologies. I was running late due to... unforseen circumstances. I see that my position has already been decided. Well then, I shall await my opponent's opening argument."
-sits down and waits-

*The Viscount smirks as his opponent enters. He seems to know something...*
"Mr. Attorney, I'd like to have a fun battle, and I'd like to show you I'm not just some pushover rookie. So, please, save the decisive evidence for last.
"Now, let me begin my opening statement. The victims of the murder were four police officers. According to the autopsy report, each one died in the same exact way, by drowning. However, before, all four police officers were attacked by fist and knocked out. Afterwards, each one was dragged into the pool area, and stacked one on top of the other. Finally, each was held down by the neck as they were held under the water and killed.
"Allow me to refer to events earlier that day. Light Yagami, the accused, had stationed personnel in multiple stations throughout the city. They were asked to remain where they were and ask all civilians to remain indoors for the day. As well as this, Light Yagami sent 20 policemen after a certain Sova Underskott. Because of this, at the time of the stationing, nobody was allowed around the town, and everybody was asked to remain indoors.
"However, one person was allowed to roam freely. That's right - Light Yagami, the chief of police.
"As Light Yagami knew how units were stationed, he could have easily known which group to attack. As for a motive, I can only think of one, and that is to frame a certain person. That person would be city advisor Keima Katsuragi, who lives in Apartment 3-2. As we all know, Light Yagami had also created a special news program, one that brings light to some various crimes Keima Katsuragi may or may not have performed. By committing this crime and then convicting Keima Katsuragi in court, Light Yagami would be taking care of one of the two men in his path to something. The other is Stocke, the secret agent that was supposedly hired, according to himself, to tail Keima. By convicting Keima, Stocke would have no reason to be here any longer, and so, Keima would be taken care of.
"Now, there are two witnesses of importance. One saw a figure around 6 PM enter dragging an unconscious police officer. This was the receptionist at apartment 3-1. They claim to have called the police, who told them to remain indoors and nothing else. This means that Light Yagami probably also had an accomplice within the police force, who told the receptionist to avert their eyes. The receptionist did not get a good look at the culprit's face, likely due to their attempts at calling the police. At 6:30 PM, the receptionist returned to their station. At this time, there was no sign of the man, meaning that the crime took place only between those two times.
"The other witness is the receptionist at apartment 3-2. They claimed to have seen a man enter the apartments, dripping wet, enter the elevator, and then be unseen. After, the man remained unseen, not leaving the complex This was likely in the culprit's attempts to frame Keima Katsuragi, and as Light is the chief of police, he probably knew of all emergency exits and anything else of note. This means he could exit unseen.
"Now, in order to prove that the culprit likely did exit after entering, I would like to call Mystio, who managed to apparently search all the doors in Apartment 3-2 to see if any were wet, to the stand to testify about the states of the doorknobs in the apartment. That is, of course, unless the defense has anything to say first."

-Barin yawns-
"Sorry, but I don't think any of this is relevant to the case at all. All of your babbling only determines the method of the murder, which anyone could have performed with ease. Now let me prove that Light Yagami is not the culprit."
"I've reviewed the footage from the security cameras at the police station. They display Light Yagami exiting the building at around 5:30pm, and re-enter a few minutes later. They do not display him leaving the building until after 7pm, he remained in his office the entire time."
"Thus Light Yagami's alibi is rock solid and he absolutely cannot be the culprit. No matter what random assumptions or wild theories you make, you cannot argue against this hard evidence."

*The Viscount's head suddenly hits the table.*
"Yes, yes, I know. I was reviewing the necessary details. At least when we go over the next suspect, I can just skip all of that and go straight to the motive."
"However, because of that video, I now have another suspect that I will review in the open debate. And so, allow me to ask them about their alibi in said debate."
*The Viscount breaks the fourth wall and moves to the other thread.*
