Freezing Room

Here you find an enormous chamber filled with large, human-sized capsules. The chamber appears to be very cold, at least 20 degrees below 0, with a thin layer of frost covering everything inside. There are people inside the capsules, but they appear to be unconscious.

On the far end of the chamber, you find a computer screen. The screen displays a chart, with either the words "pass" or "fail" to the side. At the bottom of the chart you read: "Test 51 - ongoing"

A small knife has been discarded here.

A notebook has been left on the ground.

The notebook is written in 2 different kinds of handwriting. It reads:

"The majority of the survivors have been relatively successful in the tests. A few have had difficulties, and were subsequently annihilated."

"Don't you think these procedures are a bit harsh? The survivors have committed no crime."

"We cannot risk the infection spreading any further. We must comb through those still alive for traces, for all of our sakes."

"And what of those who are innocent being subjected to these harsh conditions?"

"They will be sacrificed. For the greater good."
