About:
The digital idol age has come! Who needs professional experience or contracts when you can upload your own works online? If you’re unfamiliar with mixing, encoding, etc., then there are several people who will voluntarily help with those things. Yattemita is a category on the streaming site Nico Nico Douga, where people upload content of them “trying to do” a recreation or arrangement of an original piece. Yattemita is divided into five subcategories: egaitemita (drawing), ensou****emite (musical performance), nico nico gijutsu-bu (arts and technology), odorite (dancing), and utaite (singing). The rising popularity of yattemita led to Niconico Chokaigi, an annual two-day event with displays, live performances, and stalls. Not only did over 500,000 people attend 2016's Niconico Chokaigi, but it was also streamed to over 5,000,000 viewers through Nico Nico Douga. As someone who just entered the yattemita scene, you’re dream is to rise to the top of the all-time charts!
This can be achieved through any means, whether it be eliminating two rivals [also known as the murder aspect] or uploading content that incorporates the major aspects that make up a popular yattemita [which would be the mystery aspect].
Rules:
The standard movement, trials, and inventory rules will be applied. In addition, non-playable characters will be granted the capability of being a murderer or victim.
Character Requirements:
It is preferred that characters are humans. Any animal-like characteristics a person has will be brushed aside as cosplay. Applications will require a character image, real name, screen name, gender, age, personality, specialty, and room number. A "specialty" refers to what yattemita subcategory best suits a person. This has no effect on the abilities or season, itself; it can be treated as flavor text. The subcategories are mentioned in the "About" section.
Because characters and players will be identified by their screen names, applying with a real name is optional. Players will also have reserved hotel rooms throughout the season, and these rooms will be furnished to reflect the character's personality. The character application thread will include a list of available rooms. This list will constantly update on a "first come, first served" basis. It is highly recommended that room choices are sent in a private message to the host.
Setting:
Welcome to Waku Waku Douga! Waku Waku Douga, in its five years of service as a streaming site, is hosting its first-ever convention. All of the acts performing at the concert, Waku Fever Party, are either cosplayers, gamers, virtual idols, or yattemita; among these names, everyone [participating in the season] have also been requested! Although participants will be staying at Arabi Grand Hotel, Waku Fever Party will be hosted at the Mestar Convention Center (meant to vaguely resemble the Makuhari Messe, where Niconico Chokaigi is held) across the street.
Summary:
After receiving a request to be a guest, yattemita flocked around Waku Fever Party, hosted by the streaming website Waku Waku Douga. Through the promotional website, concept designs of attractions and a floor map of the convention center have garnered a fair amount of anticipation for this event. Visitors come to purchase merchandise, see displays, demo videogames, support virtual performers, and meet those with the same interests. What's your goal here then?
At the end of the day, one of the biggest accomplishments for any yattemita is to have one of their videos become number one on the overall rankings of Waku Waku Douga. In such a rare occasion with several popular virtual idols in one general area, this may be your only chance to escalate in the rankings.
Victory Conditions:
Monday ~ 2:30PM - 6:30PM & 8:00PM - 10:00PM EST
Tuesday ~ 4:00PM - 6:00PM & 8:00 - 11:00PM EST (Alternative ~ 8:00PM - 12:00AM EST)
Wednesday ~ 9:30PM ~ 11:30PM EST (Alternative ~ Cancelled)
Thursday ~ 3:00PM ~ 6:00PM & 8:00PM - 10:00PM EST
Friday ~ 2:30PM - 5:30PM & 7:00PM - 11:00PM EST
Saturday ~ 10:00AM - 3:00PM & 6:00PM - 10:00PM EST
Sunday ~ 10:00AM - 5:00PM EST
Note: These allocated sessions are subject to change due to exams, meetings, etc. I am also still adjusting my schedule, but according to my excel sheet, these are my free hoursthat overlap with homework hours.
Special Considerations:
Since Season Ensemble Stars was originally designed as a joke season, the victory conditions are not difficult to achieve. For not-suspicious-at-all reasons, though, there is a time limit before the game concludes itself. The time limit is currently set to twenty-one days. A day of full hosting, excluding the days spent in trial, is equivalent to a day on the timer.
Because the hotel rooms will be customized for each applying character, the deadline to character applications would be placed at least a week ahead of the season's start date.
Lastly, there is non-playable character movement. As performers, non-playable characters will make public appearances throughout the convention. Like a subscription feed, notifications will appear in the season group chat once a performer has successfully arrived at his or her destination. These alerts will note the location and the sender of the post. Non-playable characters will be idle at announced destinations for at least three hours. The movement of non-playable characters would be dependent on the current player activity level.

Victory Conditions:
- Murder: Eliminate two other yattemita (players and non-playable characters included) and survive one trial for a murder you have committed
- Mystery: Discover the six qualities that make up a popular yattemita (practically a scavenger hunt)

Featuring:
- All abilities will be attention or performance-based
- Less depressing storyline compared to Season Re:
- No song links inside room threads
- A large ratio of female to male non-playable characters, which isn't that uncommon unless you're me
- More kitchens
Note: While this season is based off of the video-sharing site Nico Nico Douga and its annual event, Niconico Chokaigi, this season interchanges those terms with Waku Waku Douga and Waku Fever party, respectively. Nonetheless, voice actors, songs, and VOCALOID producers from real life will be considered as general knowledge in the season.
