The War Room: Final Trial

The War Room

A circular, dimly lit room only illuminated by a single light shining down from the ceiling at the room's center-most point. The light shines upon a large table, circular as well, with what appear to be models of landscapes and buildings. Sitting in a chair at the edge of the table furthest away from the entrance is Finire, his face and expression hidden due to the lack of light. A quick look at the table reveals the model's design, one you have seen before, if not personally, but on TV or other broadcasts. The model appears to be of Time's Tower and the surrounding landscape with one difference. The land surrounding the tower has taken a diamond like sheen and the sheen creeps up the base of the tower like moss on a tree. Two small person shaped figurines have been set upon the table. One stands atop the model tower, cloaked in black, while the other stands at the base, cloaked in white.

Around the table are more seats, a total of 13 additional seats excluding the one Finire has already occupied. As you enter Finire glances up and waves you to a seat. As people enter Finire stands up and leans forward over the table, entering the light and fully revealing himself.


"Welcome to the War Room everyone! I am ecstatic to see we have reached this point, though it has been a depressing journey watching people do all kinds of random things and not go where they could. Regardless, things have taken a strange turn and I don't think its reasonable to expect you all to go grab the keys yourselves in any organized fashion! So I opened the room myself! Now that someone is here besides me, we can begin concluding the game! Hope you studied!"

-Finire bows elaborately over the table before pulling out a series of index cards from his pocket and flicking through them-

"It's quite simple really. I am going to ask a series of questions, some will be doozies while others I hope you could have answered before coming here. The person who successfully answers the most questions correctly will be the winner. Think of it as a quiz show! As a note please be aware that I will be taking into account the speed of the answer and the progress the speaker has made. I will break ties in that manner. If you answer first you will have the highest privilege, but I will favor answers from those who earned keys. Though if you are answering way later, I am afraid I won't be able to resolve that in your favor! Oh and if you have to guess multiple times, you will be over-ruled by anyone who gets it right in fewer guesses."

-Finire flips some coins from his pocket onto the table-

"I'll give you guys coins to track your points, though I will be tracking them myself too so don't try cheating! The reward for winning is most likely a trip out of here within the day! The loser's will need to come beg me to let them out and may not be let out for several additional months! The traitors already know what they get for winning too!"

-Finire drops back into his chair and kicks his feet up onto the table-

"Is everyone ready, if so listen up! If you have any questions you can ask them, just be aware that time is always ticking!~"

-Finire flips to an index card and appears to read it-

"Ah, an easy one. A good question to start with. What is the name of the item you were given upon entry into this game?"

[Daiwa Scarlet]

"Could you mean the Traitor Research Tracker?"

"TECHNICALLY you did receive a piece of paper, but that was during the beginning portion of the game. I mean the item that once you had it, demanded your participation!"

[Daiwa Scarlet]

"Our Stein Weapons?"

[The City [EclipseZwolf]]

"Final Answer? Of course it is."

"Yes! Your Stein Weapons are indeed the item that determined your entry into the game. I'll just jump to the next one since whoever walks in here next is just gonna start saying the same thing."

-Finire flips to the next index card and flips a penny over towards Fae-

"Now for a fairly easy one, but requiring a bit more knowledge. How many people are in this facility? People encompassing those beings that are currently or were once human."

[Daiwa Scarlet]

*tries to snatch the coin out of the air but fumbles and flails trying to catch it for a bit*

"There are nine guests, two in the tertiary quarter, one in the secondary quarter, and you... so that makes 13 individuals unless you count the bear as well... Oh that reminds me... I forgot to feed the bear..."

[The City [EclipseZwolf]]

"No other answers? Very well. Correct, there are currently 13 individuals in the building. The bear does not count."

-Finire slips over his current index card and more cautiously slides a coin to Fae-

"Building off that....How many people did I WANT to have in this building? Excluding extra players in our game!"

[Daiwa Scarlet]

*Fae uses hills on the model to roll the pennies around while she thinks*

"You had mentioned Viola and Vindr a few times. However, it doesn't seem like you had prepared a room for Viola. Going off of that, you had intended for 14 individuals to be here."

[The City [EclipseZwolf]]

"Also correct! Moving on!"

-Another rolling coin and Finire flips to the next index card-

"Excluding Elliot, everyone here is afflicted by what?"

[Daiwa Scarlet]

*Starts stacking the coins to create a mini tower next to time's tower*

"We are all afflicted by MAKE."

[The City [EclipseZwolf]]

"Feel free to continue stacking, there is still a ways to go!"

-Finire flips to the next index card and rolls a coin over to Fae-

"Ah, now into the more developed questions. What are the three kinds of MAKE? And which of those three have all the players been afflicted with?"

[Daiwa Scarlet]

*tries stacking the coins in a triangle to make a taller tower*

"The three types of make are Base MAKE, Extreme MAKE, and Penultimate MAKE. We have been inflicted with Base MAKE."

[The City [EclipseZwolf]]

"Another coin to the one with the gigantic lance halberd axe thing!"

-Finire aims and flicks his coin to knock over Fae's tower before flipping to the next index card-

"Now we can start to get into the more interesting questions! These ones are a tad bit more vague, but hopefully you all either remember the answer or can deduce it! I brought you all here to play a game, what is the general purpose of that game?"

[Daiwa Scarlet]

"It's called a glaive," Fae replies as she twirls it to swipe the coin away before it hits the tower and accidentally knocks it over herself. "As for the purpose... I can only assume that this is an experiment for these Stein Weapons, although you wouldn't mind finding an Ally along the way. Of course your end goal is revenge against Aeturnus."

[The City [EclipseZwolf]]

"Well, that IS a mouthful now isn't it? I won't necessarily say any of those are wrong answers, but alas, they are not the right answer. This would be one of those choose the best answer situations. So, if your three statements are all possibilities, which is the main and true purpose of specifically this game?"

-Finire casually flips the card in his hand over and reads the back before making an "so thats it" gesture and waits for others to answer-
