*lies on the back on top of judge's bench making a gesture of eating invisible snacks while reading murder report*
『Woo! Another one bites the dust! Now, can somebody drag the body over here so I can examine it? It should be like super close anyway, right? What? Are you asknig why I can't just get up and go take a look at body myself then? What nonsense are you talking about? I already took roots in this room and can no longer move?』

『Um... HELLO?! Hellooo?! Helloooooo? hellooooooo...』
『This is hopeless... Nobody cares about justice anymore... Or maybe everyone is just dead and the host is too lazy to make any more murder reports... Either way, it seems only I can do that random victim justice!』
『Wait, what is this, some images are flashing through my head! Yes! Yes! This is it! I see the truth of this case now! The culprit is that magical girl Kyoko! She decided that there could only be one magical girl and so decided to kill everyone else! I remember her mentioning how only two were left! Yes, clearly she just went and stabbed and slashed and etc, etc, etc the poor victim! Yep, thats exactly how this murder has transpired! I'm not really making a blind guess for the heck of it!』

"K-whatever-the-heck-your-name-is. Grow a brain. I couldn't have done it. When Kyubey and Sayaka found me I was down by the mansions. I was nowhere even close to the Town Hall. The only time I came to the town hall was AFTER Kyubey already found the body."

It seems nobody is discussing the actual facts of the murder. Very well, I shall start us off.
The victim was the magical girl Mami, yet another magical girl to my disappointment, although one I would miss less than the others still alive. She suffered several fatal wounds, namely a blunt wound to the head, and a stab wound to the chest. I believe we should begin by discussing the cause of death from here.
Also, Kyouko, to address your point, I was speaking with Sayaka when you suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It was almost as if you had teleported into the room. I don't believe, given the circumstances of your arrival, that you have a sufficient alibi for this murder.

"Oh? Did I actually outsmart you with your own contact? You weren't speaking to me. You were speaking to one of my illusions. I was downstairs in the basement dealing with things and I had to go find some documents so I decided to look through town records. Seeing you and Sayaka outside, I didn't want you guys messing things up while I was gone, so I made one of my copies appear as I snuck past."

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. Was there someone else in the basement to prove that you were there? Do you have a way to prove that is your real ability? Arguing against that point is useless. In the end you still have no alibi.
Now, let's discuss something useful and review the facts of the murder.

"Fine. So blondie here was stabbed to death here with the knife. She's been standing here the entire time we've been here, so she made an easy target for the killer. And for some reason, crazy was there banging his head into the desk. Then, there was the blood trail leading from there down to the residential area, correct?"

Not quite there yet, Kyouko. You see, the blood trail leads to the guard house, where there had been traces of a lot of blood being wiped away, along with a bloody Lug Wrench lying next to it. I would think that Mami was killed by the Lug Wrench, causing the large blood splatter, then dragged to her current location, causing the blood trail. Afterwards, the culprit would have planted the knife in an attempt to disguise the cause of death.
However, this still doesn't point us to anyone specific. If anyone else here has anything to share, I would appreciate the effort.

『Hmmmm... Interesting. But it kinda makes me think though, didn't the victim of previous case drag the victim of the first case all the way to the roof of this building? Wouldn't that have caused a blood trail from guard house to here as well? I never stepped outside since first case so no clue if there was or wasn't one before though...』

*With dried blood sticking to his bangs and forehead, Sakurai clasps his hands together at the scene. His body is tottering to the sides in an attempt to maintain balance*
"It seems this trial hasn't really accused anyone besides Kyoko so far, although the evidence I gathered doesn't seem to support or deny those claims. As the rabbi- Kyubey has already mentioned, Kyoko does not have an alibi. She even admits that after noticing the body, she had created an illusion on the second floor of the town hall before slipping away, so no one can confirm for certain that Kyoko had went to one of the mansions, as she claimed she has."
*Sakurai breaks through his own words as his voice jumps up an octave to enter into laughter. Not addressed towards anyone in particular, Sakurai continues cackling until his body slumps forward*
"Ahh, sorry, I won't be of any use in recognizing the culprit, even though I was probably present when Tomoe went down with a 'plop.' As for anything else I noticed... that's right! While I was investigating, I had noticed that the path leading from the body to the guard house... or at least till where the path had started presenting some blood here and there, the clean path had the same width as the victim's corpse. I guess that could have been easily guessed, though. From there, I think it's safe to assume the body was dragged at some point. What I find weird is that the culprit went through all of the work of dragging the victim's body to the guard house and back, assuming that the victim was killed on the second floor of the town hall. Moving on, moving on- the culprit left the body on the second floor of the town hall and he or she cleaned up the blood trail with something. The culprit probably cleaned part of the blood trail after Tomoe was moved about since there wasn't much blood left underneath or around her body."
*Sakurai pauses again, but it appears to be out of contemplation rather than mock or insanity this time*
"Well, whoever this person is, it must have taken quite some time to clean the blood trail at least. If not, then at the minimum, nobody seems to have witnessed the bloodstains being soaked up, so the culprit must have at least been unaccounted for during that period... or maybe, he or she had made created an alibi to make up for his or her absense at this time. Ahh, don't mind me. They're just the thoughts of a not-so-human being.
About the previous death, I can answer that with some confidence. The reason as to why there was no blood trail left by Madoka's body when Homura had brought it to the roof of the town hall is because Madoka's body was transported in a... sleeping bag. Is that what people call it? Anyways, the first victim's corpse did leave some blood behind. There was blood left behind in the sleeping bag, of which most likely belonged to Madoka. This is why the ptevious case did not have a blood trail leading from the guard house to the roof of the town hall."

"But...Homura was the one who had the lug wrench. So the culprit took it from her body?"

I see there is some confusion, very well, I shall clarify the situation with my findings. There is a very definite trail leading from the body to the guard house. This trail, beginning from the body, is quite clean, until it reaches the guard house, where it begins to get messy. This indicates that the blood that comprises of the trail was only half-cleaned. But why would this be? It has to do with the progression of the murder.
You see, from the mess at the guard house, I believe that Mami was killed while inside the guard house. Then the culprit proceeded to drag her to the town hall, presumably to throw her off the roof so that they could further disguise the cause of death. However, the culprit noticed Ikeda on the second floor, and assumed they had been seen, so they quickly planted several red herrings and moved to clean up the trail. This means the trail was made from the guard house, but the culprit began cleaning it up from the town hall. Then, the object the culprit was using to clean up the blood, presumably some kind of sheet or rag, was completely soaked in blood, creating the half-cleaned blood trail mess.

"So the person ended up at the guard house? So shouldn't they have ended up there? The only people down there when I got back were you and Wendy. Sayaka was already on her way back up, correct?"

If my assumptions are correct, the culprit attempted to clean up the guard house, but the thing they were using to clean up the blood was too soaked from cleaning the blood trail, and they could not clean the blood off entirely.
The culprit would have then likely gone around searching for another tool to help clean the blood. I doubt they would have wanted to stay at the guard house while carrying a large bloody sheet or rag for long.
