Seems like things have finally come to an end. Pitiful, if I may say so myself. Perhaps if I spell it out for all of you, it will make more sense.
The city of Avrak, as all of you know, was once a city filled with hope. But then, the World's Most Despair Inducing Incident struck, and Avrak was divided. Half of the citizens succumbed to despair, forming a despair group, and the other half, under the leadership of the SHSL Immortal Aklita Temris and the SHSL Mastermind Emna Tandris, immediately took shelter in a series of underground tunnels.
And there they waited for the despair incident to end.
However, despair is infectious, and soon many of those who had evacuated began going insane due to the pressure of despair. In an effort to stop this, Emna sent Aklita on a mission to clear Avrak of the remains of the despair group. Aklita proceeded to annihilate the despair group members in the city by flooding it. And so, Emna could finally evacuate the citizens to the tower.
As soon as the survivors retaining their sanity were secured, Emna moved to kill the rest. He released a deadly mushroom into the wilderness, in efforts to wipe out the members of the despair group.
As for the survivors left behind, Emna had another plan for them. He froze each of them in a sub-zero capsule, sending them into cryogenic sleep. A group of 15 to 20 people would be let out at a time, and tested to see if any traces of despair remained among them. The test was simple: a test of mutual killing. This would both reveal those affected by despair and weed them out at the same time.
Groups that made it to the tower through cooperation were welcomed with open arms. Other groups sunk into the depths of despair and were annihilated. This is the "test" all of you are currently participating in.
However, you have failed. You failed to realize that the "infection" was simply the effects of despair all along. And for failing to deduce such a simple fact, your group will not live to see its end.
