The screen crackles to life with an image of the late king.
"Closing in on the end now."
"Well, let's bring the killer to justice!"

"Quite the odd murder this time. So far, what we know is that Gat was found in the Guest Cabin Hallway, pinned against the door to one of the Cabin Rooms. When you walk around the adjoining rooms to enter the other side, Odelia's body is also pinned to the same door, with her stomach facing the door. Both of them have been skewered by a makeshift pulley trap, and judging by the arrangement of the ropes and latches, this trap was activated when the door closed, with the spear plunging through Odelia and Gat's back."
"I, and many others, can personally attest that we saw Gat passing through the Deck 2 Commons holding a rope. He may have had other objects with him from Deck 3, but they weren't visible at the time. This took play on 7/15. Immediately after, I followed him to the Guest Cabins where he was standing guard at the door while also constructing the trap. I couldn't clearly see what he was making at the time and decided to leave, but this is the same room that we see Gat and Odelia's bodies."
"Now, one of the questions I have yet to figure out for myself is how Odelia was convinced to enter the room. If the trap activates with the door closing, this means that the room would have to be wide open, allowing victims to clearly see the massive pulley system bolted to the room's ceiling. Perhaps she was pushed or coaxed indoors, and the door was suddenly pulled shut either by Gat or another assailant? With the pulley system arranged as it is, it's possible for someone to close the door and move out of the way of the spear since only gravity would be acting on the planks. Thus, I'm having a hard time determining why Gat would be the killer in this case if he allowed himself to be skewered with his unsuspecting victim."

*Otoshin runs in like he's having a panic attack*
"I-I've figured it out! The culprit! I know who the culprit is!"
*Otoshin takes a moment to catch his breath*
"According to this fresh testimony I got from Count Chocula... Jekyll came in to talk with Prince Tserriednich right before Odelia ran off from the Prince 4 living room, and according to testimony from Prince Tserriednich, there was no discernable reason why Odelia would run away all of a sudden just from his presence."
"Therefore, Jekyll must have said something that made Odelia extremely scared of Prince Tserriednich, causing her to run away as soon as he came into the room."
"Since Odelia ran straight towards the guest hallway after reaching deck 2, we can reasonably assume that Jekyll must have left some subtle hint as to where the safest place to run would have been, otherwise there's no reason why Odelia would run straight into her death in the deck 2 guest cabin."
"The culprit... is probably Gat, let's be real here, but Jekyll is an accomplice to the crime! She's the one pulling the strings!"

Mmm, a very interesting theory, Otoshin." "However, it seems you've been fed bad info. Odelia wasn't there when I talked to Prince Tserriednich. In fact, we talked about her absence and sudden activity, and he stated that she ran away from him in a hurry, not me." "Anyone could have seen where Gat was, after all he wasn't exactly hiding the rope he was carrying through the Deck 2 Commons. Anyone would then know what room he was building a contraption in and direct someone there. You're going to need better evidence if you want to incriminate me."

"Why... I can't believe you, Jekyll! Are you saying that Prince Tserriednich was the reason why Odelia ran off so suddenly, and that she ran straight into Gat's trap at that?"
"I can't believe that you would imply that Prince Tserriednich is the one who instilled fear into Odelia, and subtly hinted at her the location of a safe place, thus putting her into the crosshairs of Gat's trap!"
"It's like you're trying to say that Prince Tserriednich is actually the culprit! I can't believe you Jekyll! How rude could you possibly be to the great Prince Tserriednich! *cough*allpraisehisnamelongmayhereign*cough*"

"Wh-wha-...? N-No, of course I would never even dare to imply that Prince Tserriednich was involved in this murder! That was what Jekyll was implying! I was only pointing out her rudeness towards Prince Tserriednich!"
"A-anyway, Gat is clearly the culprit, seeing how he gathered the materials and built the contraption that killed Odelia and himself. There's plenty of evidence for this, a lot of bruising, rope marks, and cuts on Gat's hands that indicate he was building something in the workshop. Multiple people claim to have seen Gat walking around carrying the materials for the contraption found at the scene of the crime, including myself. And also, Gat's eyes were closed, which means he was feeling rather calm and accepting of his fate before he died, as if he already knew he was going to die."
"So it's clear that Gat set up a contraption to kill someone, and maybe even himself. But who could have possibly led Odelia to walk into that trap? When I saw Odelia last, she had just run down from deck 1 through the deck 2 commons, and she was heading directly towards the guest cabins. This means Odelia must have already had a clear destination in mind, and that destination was directly into Gat's trap. I think it's reasonable to assume that someone must have given Odelia the idea to run towards the guest cabins. Gat must have had an accomplice who did so sometime before the murder occurred!"

"When was the last time that Odelia was seen? I imagine with Gat's access to the coins, it's also possible he himself contacted Odelia at a distance by spending one coin. Considering Gat was simultaneously guarding the room and building his trap, this could have taken place anywhere from the beginning of 7/15 till the time of the murder when she ran to the Guest Cabin Hallway."

"The gatekeeper had access to coins..? I see... Then perhaps this is where the double-edged spear came from as well? Three coins were spent to create it, then one to send Odelia a message so dire, she could not ignore it..?"
"But what could she have heard... to make her react like this and hurry to such a specific destination in mind..? I hear from others, she was very worried and panicked... Could it be..."
KoD suddenly snaps her head up, looking like she got an idea
"W-We... reacted the very same way when we heard Ynes announce that she found a body... asking for us to come. A-At least I did. With Lady Carmilla's permission... I hurried to the specific destination with worry..."
"Could it be... that the Gatekeeper sent Odelia a message with his one coin... Telling her he found a body around the Guest Cabin Hallway..? Odelia would then rush to the destination, greeted by the Gatekeeper... He would then... Invite her into the room to take a look at the non existent body he found... Supposedly... with the reason to... trigger the so-called Body Discovery announcement, which is... actually fake at that point. This should be reason enough... to enter the room despite seeing part of the contraption when entering. Presumably the rope... Odelia could have simply assumed it was already... triggered... before being able to take a good look at it. "
"And once inside... The door would be slammed shut... triggering the contraption... Judging by Odelia's position and panicked expression, she realized she fell into a trap and tried to escape... But the Gatekeeper... gatekept the door... Do you remember, how he was blocking access all the way back... when Ruka and Hu Tao were inviting us for a performance..? Standing close to entrance or exit, would completely block it. Odelia's escape... while attempted... it was... impossible."
Because the Gatekeeper had to block the door... The contraption skewers them both... with a double-edged spear most sharp... But judging by Gatekeeper's slightly surprised expression... it does not seem like... he considered for the spear to be able to break through the door and get him as well... A lack of proper judgement.
"Whether this was unintentionally caused by the lack of critical thinking from Gatekeeper or an intentional action... I suspect this is a murder suicide. Done by the Gatekeeper alone."

“The only correction I would like to make to KoD’s theory is the origin of the spears. It’s likely that Gat used the Workshop to make these, not only because the Workshop was recently cleaned, but also because it would be impossible for Gat to have used the coins to create the spear outright, given how large it is. The only way would be if he made smaller components of the spear and combined them at the Workshop.”
“I’m unsure how many coins Gat had at his disposal, but there’s a reasonable limit to how many he could have spent for this.”

"O-Oh... My apologies... It would seem I still have... much to learn..."
"In that case... this would mean that... all the relevant items came from the Workshop..? The Gatekeeper had no coins left on his person... So whatever he had... he must have used them all..."

"It is no matter. For now, I think that KoD's theory is the simplest explanation for what we're seeing with the evidence. Although, I do find it strange that Gat did not find another way to bar the door other than standing in front of it. When you look at the length of the spear compared to where the gears are positioned in the ceiling, it's apparent upon physical inspection that the spear would have pierced through the door even without extending past 90 degrees of rotation. Once the spear pierces the door, it would easily continue through into the hallway until the block and planks themselves were physically stopped by the door. Thus, I'm... puzzled as to why he chose to stand in front instead of finding a way to hold the door closed."

"Hmmm... hmmm... wait, everyone. We've been overlooking a crucial suspect this entire time."
"Even though Jekyll and Prince Tserriednich were both present in Prince 4's room, and could have maybe influenced Odelia, there was someone else... someone who we know for a fact was present in Prince 4's room this entire time! Someone who could have had a secret conversation with Odelia, instilling fear into her and telling her to run directly into Gat's trap. He could have even colluded directly with Gat with enough coin magic!"
"And that someone is... Count Chocula! He had many opportunities to speak with Odelia in private to influence her to run towards the guest hallway where Gat was waiting! Gat's accomplice is clear now, it could only have been the cereal mascot!"
