Trial of Fate

[King V]

A man dressed in white floats up into the Room of Trials, and suddenly everyone finds themselves inside.

Xinei: "It's too late for the God of Fate to recover, but I'll make sure his killer doesn't get away. Discuss who murdered Abelvion here!"

"Says the god that just spent most of the time locked in one world and then napping outside of it until the murder happened. In fact, you don't have an alibi either, and you are a god, wouldn't it be quite possible that you, Koriskra Xinei, God of Isolation are the culprit and just making this up to look innocent?"

[King V]

"I'm sorry, but did you have to attempt to resolve a world with a vengeful maniac carrying around a crystal weapon that could effectively destroy everything within a five mile radius? No? I didn't think so either. At the time of death, I was unconscious, therefore it's impossible for me to be the culprit."

[Daiwa Scarlet]

"I wonder what could have made such a scorch mark... Perhaps an explosion of some kind... Xinei, could you tell us what it takes to harm a god?"

[King V]

"Please treat this as a normal murder. God status doesn't mean much in such circumstances."

"Is that so? Well, I think I have to make some stuff clear about this murder since without doubt I am the one most knowledgeable about the state of warp gates until the murder. So, lets see... Where should I start... Ah, right, after the world beyond the pitch black door ended, I spent my time killing everyone in the warp gates to end all of this. So, first of all, I murdered Emil-san after fighting him with wooden stand at the Panorama Shrine, next I followed by murdering all other extra side characters who stood out even less than me with random objects in the rooms they were in, then I went over to Chamber of Isolation where the next world was and fought Sailor-san leading the fight to stairwell where I finished him off dropping him down the stairwell, he had the axe then and used it on railing to break the fall before I dropped him down leaving the axe still lodged in there. After that, since I saw no more people in the warp gates I went off to Chamber of Isolation and prepared a trap with a crate of gunpowder and torches, the big bomb from 3rd world I have right now and curtains and finally the gurney at bottom of staircase to jump down safely from explosion and waited. I waited for some time and killed Reiten-san who came in from the 5th world for some reason, waited for a bit more but nobody else came so I then went off on hunt in 5th world killing Kigurumi-san and Mirai-san doing all the murders all of the 3 barehanded. And then a bit later while I went in to hunt for more some ticking sound happened and alert went off. I ran down back to Chamber of Isolation and prepared to execute the trap on people who would come to investigate the alarm."

"*takes some breaths in* Some time after while I stayed at Stairwell in front of Chamber of Isolation, Deadpool-san and Mei-san came in and I used gunpowder crate and torch to make them both explode and only then satisfied went in to source of the alarm which was beyond Gemstone Door and found Xinei-san unconscious with remote in hand there. I looked at him for some more and then returned to stairwell to see Deadpool-san actually being alive. I decided to finish him off and started the fight and that is when Nox-san ran in all invisible past me to get into Gemstone Door while we were fighting. Nox-san went out after Deadpool-san was dead to what I think was see who won and we had a talk. He then went back into Gemstone Door and I heard sound of a stone archway portal activating. I hurried to 5th world to finish off other remaining people leaving Nox-san the last and there I found Kyo-san and dragged him over and killed him in Chamber of Isolation and then spent a lot of time searching for Isumi-san and then brought her over here but left her alive thinking she would be more useful alive. We went through the stone archway confirming Xinei-san lying around and thenn after some exploring we met up with Nox-san and returned back here for the murder announcement."

"I don't know when exactly the door to Sanctum has been opened and the murder happened since I was in a hurry most of the time. But I know that when me and Nox talked, I saw the axe was still lodged in the railing and door to Sanctum still being closed. Well, I guess that is about it for the testimony... Saying that, it is true that I am a murderer and I also don't have an alibi either, but I didn't open the door to Sanctum nor killed God of Fate Abelvion and me killing everyone was partly to prevent it in the first place. Ah, if you want any details on anything off in the warp gates or any more details on any of my murders, ask away, no point to hide it right now."

"I suppose the obvious suspects would be Cranaskous or Nir, considering they were attempting to murder Abelvion. Could you explain what you know of their situation, Xinei?"

I can confirm a portion of Girl A's testimony.

Our encounter in the stairwell is how she stated it. I sneaked past not intending to become involved in the brawl, most because I lacked any desire to be stabbed, eviscerated, or other nasty ways to be forced unto death. I checked the gemstone room quickly before returning my attention to Girl A. I wanted not only to see what had happened, but to verify what Girl A was doing, as she had noticed my presence. At that time, I can confirm that the axe was present in the stairwell, lodged into the railing.

After our discussion, I returned to the chamber of eternity and finality, activated the portal, and entered the portal intending to escape a pursuing Girl A inside the world.

I navigated the world from that point and ended up restrained by the one I believe is called Finire. The one that Xinei mentioned could smash everything in a five mile radius. I was in his custody up until Girl A and Isumi arrived we have been together since.

I would also like to ask how the door itself was opened. You confirmed that Abelvion's murder should be treated like a regular one so unless I am mistaken, anyone who could get too Abelvion could kill him. Is there some special switch or method to open the folded paper door? And if so, is it possible to tell when it was opened?

[King V]

"I sealed all doors in the stairwell with my power. If someone broke through the seal, they must have used power from another god, or have been a god themselves to open the door. Thus, the culprit must be or have had help from a god or a conduit."

[Daiwa Scarlet]

"Could you tell me whether all remaining participants of this event are in this room or at least whether the four of us are the only ones still alive in this facility."

"Girl A, would you know why the axe only has half of its handle? It just seems somewhat odd."

[John Dark Souls]

"That is quite strange, when I saw it before it had a much longer handle. I would've assumed that something caused the axe handle to break in two when culprit attacked Abelvion, but the other piece of the axe would be lying around in that case. So, I think the most likely explanation is that culprit purposefully shortened the handle of the axe for some reason. I'm not sure why though, maybe so that they could use axe with one hand to have the other hand free? It is clear that something else other than axe was used in order to set flames to Abelvion's head and the book after all..."

"Could you tell me how many you had were still alive after Minchey's death?"

"Xinei, are you able to tell if someone is a conduit or god?"

[King V]

"All participants of this event are gathered in this room. If you want to know whether someone is a conduit or a god, why not have them prove it for you?"

"Then how about we end this charade? I didn't do the murder and from my perspective there is no way Nox-san or Isumi-san would've been able to murder Abelvion behind my back. And considering other than us 3 there should be only a single person alive, the culprit is obvious..."

*looks at a completely empty space in the trial arena and points finger there*
"Kirigiri-san, you are the culprit of this case and murderer of God of Fate Abelvion. You opened the door to Sanctum with your conduit powers which allow you to summon invisibile weaponry. You also cut axe's handle to be able to use it in one hand while creating an invisible explosive in the other hand and used them in order to murder Abelvion and burn his book and hair. As simple as that. Now how about you show yourself, or are you too ashamed of everything you have done that you don't even want others to see you like that?"

[King V]

-a girl dressed entirely in white suddenly appears on one of the trial stands and morphs into Kirigiri-

"So you accuse me of being the culprit then? Very well, I accept your accusation. I was the one who murdered Abelvion. But, before you can accuse me, I believe you still haven't addressed something in your theory."

-Kirigiri fades and disappears-

"Who am I?"
