Here are the plans for my next season, not including 5.5 which is ready to go after season 5 ends. Don't judge my naming conventions.
Setting
You have just received a letter from your former trusted friend from Hope's Peak Academy, Hatsune Mystio. You haven't heard from them in a long time, and Mystio is requesting your help with something urgent. The letter comes with a questionnaire, and it tells you to fill out the questionnaire honestly if you wish to help. You answer the questions on the form, and as soon as you're finished you start feeling dizzy and faint. The next thing you know, you wake up in what seems to be an abandoned laboratory.
Movement and Phases
There will be no changes to the movement rules. Please follow the links in the threads and follow special instructions on movement if listed in the thread (i.e. if a room says "staying in here for more than 5 minutes will make you faint", you will not be able to move after staying in the room for over 5 minutes).
Phases will be conducted in day and night sections. During daytime everything will be normal. During nighttime, everything will become dark and players will not be able to perform any significant actions without a light source.
Murder and Trial System
Murders and Trials will be conducted as normal, with one change. The players will decide when to conduct a trial and which victim's death to debate on by majority vote. All deaths will be announced as normal, and murder reports will be given out as normal, however it will be up to the players to treat which deaths as significant. Only 1 culprit can be voted on per death, and only 1 person can be executed per trial.
Basically don't anger the entire player populace, or everyone might decide to kill you and not conduct a trial for your death.
Power System
All players will receive a single SDGL ability, which will function as their passive perk (no, I did not spell SHSL incorrectly). There will be a secondary power system in place, I call this the Archetype system.
The Archetype system will not be explained, it will be up to the players to figure it out in-game. However I will give fair warning that there is a secondary power system since many people seemed oblivious to the Arcanas in Season Fate. Archetypes cannot be used to murder directly, nor will they have significant impact on a murder (and if you abuse them in a murder, I will end you).
Curse System
Similar to Season 4, all players will be under the effects of a curse. This means that 1 person will die every night. The first 3 days will be free of automatic deaths, however, people will continue dying after the 3rd day unless the source of the curse is found. Deaths caused by the curse will be specified in their respective murder reports.
Afterlife(?)
I haven't decided on this yet, but there will probably be an Afterlife portion of the game. I will have to compile all of my plot information and see if there is enough left for an afterlife, but I'm fairly sure this will happen. Expect the Afterlife in this game to be very similar to Season Fate's section.
This concludes the basic rules. Once again, this game is separate from Season 5.5, and will not be ready anytime soon. I will build this season on my mastermind board, and possibly give a vote if it's ready by the time 5.5 is scheduled to go.
