X said that Abelvion could only watch and not control anything and that he, the X on our phones, had complete control of the game. That seems more like opposing Abelvion, which is strange since he was using Dice. Usurping Abelvion I guess?

"Have any of you read the news report over in the wasteland outside? There was a news report on an event. This event was described as "The world's most despair inducing incident."
"It reads... “On the tenth day of ‘The World’s Most Despair Inducing Incident’ (tentative name), Avrak City declared martial law to stop the riots that had broken out everywhere. Just a week later, the strength of the military was broken and the city’s mayor, Emna, commanded that everyone who had fallen into despair be exterminated. A massive sweep of the city was lead by Emna himself and his new division of ‘Super-Soldiers’. These soldiers proved extremely effective against the rioters, and soon the city’s population had fallen by over 50%. At this time Emna withdrew and evacuated the remaining citizens who were still sane while his division of soldiers held off the advances of the despair worshipers. It is assumed that no soldiers survived the incident, and it is still unknown how Emna managed to gather a force so potent in such a short period of time. Regardless, thanks to him, the survivors were saved and the city undergoing reconstruction.”
"Does this ring any bells for anybody?"

"You all look so pathetic. Perhaps I'll give you a hint. There have only been 2 cycles of DICE to my knowledge, the previous cycle was exactly 1 year ago which I won. This is the second cycle, meaning DICE have not existed for very long."

"Very well. The cycles seem to occur in one-year increments. Furthermore, it can be assumed that the super-soldiers were somehow enhanced by Dice."
"I imagine this would be due to them injecting dice directly into their veins. The evidence for this would be the blue glint evident in their eyes."

"That was DICE Injections!?!? I thought it was just some Dice ability involving the eyes."

"...I have a theory to present. I believe that Erald... Is either X, or an associate of X. At least, the "fake" X."
"My reason for believing is simple. When I was hunting those cowardly cultists, I stumbled upon a small yet impressive room, holding two people. Erald here, and the bumbling fool whose name I don't care to remember. The fool was tied, and Erald was not. However, I spoke to Erald around the room, and he definitely spoke as if he owned it. On the six screens in Erald's room, however, I saw a menu, one that looked quite similar to the menus on our "cell phones" that managed our abilities as Dicers."
"I say that Erald used these menus to contact us in the guise of X. In my recent battle with Erald, he managed to pinpoint my ability perfectly, refusing when I lied and said I had another. So, he somehow knew what my ability was, and said just two words when I presented the idea that he used Dice to find out... "Regardless, die.""
"Upon me taking the first strike, Erald disappeared and gave me a nasty slash to the back, one that almost killed me. I managed to get away, but after doing so and reaching a convenience store to buy treatment, I noticed one thing. I was not bleeding."
"Erald does not play with the same rules as the rest of us, somehow. I would suggest that this is because, while he is in his own right limited and perhaps unable to give himself Dice, perhaps due to the systems of working, or for another reason... I would like to suggest that he is the manager of this all. Our X."
"Well, Erald? Am I correct, or am I quite a ways off?"

"That theory is easily explained if he had Clairvoyance. I have it myself, and I know everything about you. All of you, for that matter. I would not be surprised if Erald was also in possession of it. I have seen a similar room, but I was unable to examine things in specific detail. I did see that the menu was akin to what we had on our phones as well. It's interesting, but there's more to this. Erald's scythe is most likely an immortal weapon. It doesn't cut you physically, it cuts through your soul, so to speak. In a poetic fashion, that is."

"However, Stocke, tell me. What explains the room? And why did Erald seem to own the place? Moreso, why was the fool tied up there? Had he found something that he should not have?"
"There is definitely something strange about Erald, whether he is our X or otherwise."

"I don't suppose you've ever heard of Trace? It's something you buy in the dice shop. I know all of you are A rankers, and I can easily find out your abilities with my satellite live feed. It's simply a matter of synchronizing Trace with my network."
"Regardless, I thought you were going to talk about X, not me. Tell me, who is X and why do you think that's who they are?"

"I totally forgot about that.... I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT THAT WHILE DEALING WITH THE SNIPER! ARGH!"
"Who is X.... Well if X wants to introduce the world to the power of DICE. It can't be Nir, since he sides against the DICE. Cranaskous was balance right? So he probably wouldn't be tossing DICE everywhere. Abelvion can see but cannot control the game once an A ranker arose. That is from the mouth of the X on the phone. So the X on the phone can't be Abelvion, but not necessarily over arching X if we are assuming they are different people."
"Alright, I will give a totally random guess and lets see what happens. They said something about a blue star or something in the sky? I believe we were assuming the meteorite was a piece of it. So, if its some magical substance its probably nigh on impossible for a regular human to take it over through humanoid means. So lets go the other way, DICE was originated from Humans since it eats our life force. Some human forged it at some point. Its some kind of mechanical machine, nanomachines, some kind of nonsense. That's how its integrated into our technology, it IS our technology. The X we know through our phones took over the original X's system and has been aiming to change the DICE system to feed on something besides our life force. The X, the Original X, is the blue star in the sky, or rather a man made satellite floating in orbit."
"Lets say OUR X was in that satellite and dropped in from orbit a few days back when X went offline. That was the travel time from the satellite to a suitable place to control and monitor the game. That person is WHOEVER was tied up in Erald's room as mentioned by Stocke."
"AND THAT'S MY RANDOM GUESS. IF THAT ISN'T IT AND YOU GUYS ARE DONE LETS GET ON TO THE FIGHTING!"
