Here you find a small room filled with chairs facing a blackboard. A large desk with many textbooks placed on top stands at the front of the room. Several pieces of chalk are placed on the blackboard. The chalkboard is blank, and appears to have been washed recently. A series of windows faces out to the courtyard. "good day students, I am Mr. Katsuragi, a city adviser I came here to tell you of my bill you may have heard about on the news, you may not enjoy these extra hours of school time but I assure you they are in your best interest. why you ask? because you are our cities future generation without a good solid education you can't become good upstanding adults like me or your parents. There has also been much danger happening around the city with reports of dangerous individuals running around our city, keeping you in school will keep you guys out of danger and away from these violent individuals. These extra hours will also allow the school to lengthen its classes to enhance your experience this also means more time for the teacher to divide their time more evenly among each of you for your betterment. I hope you will rejoice in these new hours as I repeat it is all for you and has your best interest at heart."

Ayame frowned slightly as she watched him. It was pretty clear to her what was going on, but it wasn't like she could do anything about it on her own. She glanced around the classroom, gauging the reactions of her classmates.

Gag Response: [See: Profile Pic] Actual Response: "No! Everyone, listen! This guy's full of it! He doesn't want to help us get better grades or anything! This guy's just promoting a selfish scheme to get all the Numbers! He's trying to break us down, bit-by-bit! Once he gets his way, he'll toss us aside, like a bunch of nasty tomatoes!" "Please! Don't fall for his schemes! We need dreams to pursue! Sitting around all day writing a bunch of pages doesn't help us get those... We need to get out more and follow our hearts! We need..." *Chucks a trading card at Keima* "Hope!!" *Leaves*

「The real dangerous individuals are the ones in the City Hall, but I don't see you making any sort of reforms for them.」

「How pretentious... Heh, no matter... I don't particularly disagree with extending school hours, but they shouldn't lie about the reason for doing it.」

Ayame stands up from her spot on the left side of the room, a few rows back from the front.
"My sincerest apologies, Mr. Katsuragi, for the forcefulness of some of my classmates' outbursts. This is certainly a decision that must have been debated quite heavily at City Hall. However, I do not think their outbursts are wrong in intent, only in presentation. You say this is a measure designed to aid in our education. How? More time at school might give us more time to access our studies, but certainly it has been known that too long without a break to be with our families and to pursue other interests could be detrimental to our development into well-rounded and healthy adults. Not to mention the further stress it would place on our already overworked teachers. You say it is to protect us, yet extending school hours would only serve to make us walk home in more dangerous conditions. Especially those of us, like myself, who are in after-school activities. Would you force us to walk home in the dark, when we are in even more danger?"
She shakes her head, then seems to resolve herself in the face of nervousness. "No, Mr. Katsuragi. I cannot in good conscience believe that such a bill would better the students, and although I may just be the treasurer of the school council, I will be sure to put forward a motion that we stand up against this bill. We will not fight you on it, Mr. Katsuragi, but we shall not obey it."

"Ah well. I guess it can't be helped then. What we should all do now is just adapt and we can get through this difficult time."

Ayame looks around, sadly. For a moment it looks like she wants to try to enlist her classmates' aid, but instead she simply sits, head lowered.
